Asked. They told me it would be a real nightmare with no advantage. Buying a new delete pipe in the correct dia was less expensive than having custom adaptors made. High end stainless is not cheap.

That’s fair - much appreciated.

I’m probably the only person who didn’t like the sound of a res delete,so I’m looking for something like the suitcase design with the fibreglass pack, but with an H Pipe inside

Nope. I run it with the SLP Loudmouth II setup. Gives the car a nice deep tone without the rasp.
man that sounds legit!

But I wonder how it would sound with the active exhaust though

Hopefully, someone with an A E will buy it and post a sound bite. Or, maybe C J Pony parts will do so. After the H pipe debacle, I'm done forever jacking with the factory exhaust.

The Steeda H pipe itself is a class act. Very nicely designed. Excellent fit and finish. The installation was a snap on a lift. My hearing is the issue. It has degraded now to the point that even sport mode causes issues for me. As such, the car now stays in quiet mode. I remote start from inside the house or, a distance when elsewhere. Truly sucks as I had an X pipe and cat deletes on my GT350 back in '19.

Finally, some pics to demonstrate to people that it isn't restrictive. It quiets the exhaust down a good amount as would be expected from any stock V8, but not inherently restrictive. I'm somewhat surprised there isn't any sort of crossover though. I have a Magnaflow resonated X that never went on my car, but now I find myself being more curious how it would sound.

Makes two of us. Yes, modding is an addiction, as is being a horse power junkie. I've been both from a tender age.

Yes, the suitcase civilizes the car. If you swap on a mid pipe, you most likely won't need aftermarket mufflers. With a just a Borla switchfire, I certainly think mine is pretty loud.

Just reading the comments and passing on my observations from reading the forum :

A) The resonator does have a crossover, but it’s somewhat restrictive when compared to a pipe - there is a passage for gas in the bottom compartment (referencing the photo further up this thread) i.e. :

B) Just because the standard resonator is straight through, it doesn’t mean that benefits can’t be found from swapping it out.

I’ve had this on my PC for a while (I found it on here). 18lbft @ 3000 :

Gotta love sound clips. They are as useless as teats on a boar hog. What one hears inside the cabin while driving is vastly different from that which one hears outside. Why don't these companies give us an idea of the interior db levels. Before and after.
