Thoughts now turning to replacing the stock system. I like the appearance of the Evolution intake. Anyone running this unit?

I am. Fit and finish is what I would call OEM+. About the only thing I felt different was a quicker throttle response and a lighter wallet but hey it looks nice under the hood.

I had the Injen on my 2019. I liked it considering all things. It looked and sounded good. Was the car faster? I didn’t do any scientific back to back testing.

I measured the MAF housing and it was ~3mm bigger in diameter than the stock housing (I think 101mm vs 98mm). This is well within the range that the fuel trims can make up for. With the slightly larger MAF housing it’s possible that this intake *can* move more air than the stock air box. IIRC that 3mm diameter increase translated to a 6-8% increase in area at the MAF sensor.

If I hadnā€˜t moved to FI on my car I’d still have it on there.

I would just keep the stock system unless you want more noise and something that looks different. You aren't gaining much else.

If you are an 18+ car stock intake flows efficiently. Just add a drop in filter and you're good to go. If you're a 15-17 then an 18+ oem intake is the ticket.

Very short almost 90* inside turn radius & sweeping outside radius at the elbow is always a win/win. And as said, a 6% difference in area. Good to go.

I Like the looks compared to others, just not the cost / performance (same opinion for most intakes on 2018+). If its just to dress up the engine bay, sure thing. otherwise a 30-40 dollar drop-in is a better option.

I've got the Injen Evolution; along with a 93 octane tune.
Makes the car feel quite a but more savage, but admittedly, that's probably mostly the tune.

I would say it's a great addition If you wanna add a tune later; if not, it's probably not that necessary.

IMO the tune is something I flirted with for a while... then afterwards was a "why didn't I do this sooner?" kind of thing.

I really like mine. Don't know about a power increase but throttle response is a little quicker and IAT's didn't go up more than stock. Looks great in engine bay if that means anything.

I do have a Velossa Tech Big Mouth to put on one of these days. Lately too lazy to pull the front end off though...
