This is the big week fellas! I dont know about you guys but I'm super excited.... After months of debate mostly about weight and power, hopefully we will get some concrete info in a few days.

I'm curious what everyone's final guesses are about,

- Weight
- Power/TQ
- Pricing

Mine are:
3650lbs for the base GT (3550lbs best case scenario if more aluminum was used than has been disclosed)
430HP/400ft-lb
$33,900 Base GT MSRP

Also curious how this will affect everyone's buying decision (if at all). Will weight or power make you lose interest? Which is more important?

I'm not super concerned about the weight as everyone else seems to be. This is going to be my daily driver not my competition car so unless the thing is 400lbs heavier it's not gonna keep me from buying it. For me it's simply the pricing, I'm hoping you're spot on with 33k for the GT, I know when the Corvette and M3/M4 came out the price increase turned out to be way smaller than everyone was anticipating, hoping we'll see the same with the mustang.

I think alot of people focus on the weight because of how much of an advantage it gives the Mustang over its domestic competition, coupled with the fact, lighter is better. It's easier on Gas, Tires, Brakes, and it makes it faster which less face it that's why people like Mustangs.

Frankly if it doesn't gain weight I will be pleased, and I would be really happy with options such as lightwieght rear seat. Anytime I price a GT on ford.com. It only gets two options Track Pack, Recaro seats.

Sorry I should have put an option about price, but I am assuming most people feel the same way. If it gets a huge price increase I think most of us will reconsider or look elsewhere.

Agreed, if the price increase is too large, I'll be headed for a pre-owned E93 M3 most likely.

I've pretty much made up my mind.
Guard GT PP with Recaros and MFT
I'm just not sure if I will be ordering in late summer or saving up a larger downpayment and waiting until next spring. At this point I'm most concerned about pricing. I'm guessing around a 5% increase. The dealer I will go through assured me not to expect much of an msrp increase and I won't be paying msrp.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as jjw, but I may have to wait until late '16. Price will be key for me. The design alone has me planning to buy one even if the weight/power don't blow me away. By then I'm sure we will be seeing a ton of great aftermarket S550's.

I'm leaning towards a GT+PP in DIB or Guard which I really need to see in person. Magnetic is still in the running too.

If it gets a huge price bump, my local dealer has some very nice used gt500s that would look great in my driveway.

I'm with you on your weight and pricing estimates, but I think the power will be a bit higher just because of all the effort and changes they made to the Coyote. I'm thinking (yes, hoping) it'll be 440+ hp.

My only concern is pricing. I can get them for a good deal the first day since I am a Ford tech, but if it is considerably higher than a 14 v6 premium then I will pass.

Price is my concern. There are so many awesome features and massive improvements over the S197 that it's hard to believe price isn't going to increase. If I can get a GT track pack with Recaros under $40k I'll likely buy, but I won't be rushing to the dealers on day one and I sure as hell will not pay any markups.

I would be willing to spend a good deal more if Ford can build a 100+ pounds lighter car with 450+ horses. Yes, I know, that is not likely for the GT and the solution would be to wait for a GT350. Which is what I may do.

My point is while price is always a concern, a well equipped GT for just under $45K is not out of the question (for me) if they can nail the numbers and it drives significantly better than the current model.

I have been really thinking about selling my classic for a S550, specifically maybe the GT350 if it's not to outrageous in price.
