No track days and all street use which is everything from back county roads to smooth interstate. All type of weather. The Dealership installed the HP camber plates and I asked for a street aliment. Sorry I never asked what the numbers were. Wish I did. I wonder if they were put in the work order?Any idea as to what your alignment settings are? You seem to be the leader when it comes to cup 2 mileage.
I went to zero toe and it helped.I second the alignment recommendation. I had cup 2 tires and they were downright dangerous driving in some areas but I did an alignment and it got rid of about 40% of the tramlining intensity then I switched to PSS tires and now 95% tramlining GONE! No more dangerous white knuckle moments.
I did max oem negative camber possible both front and rear (2 front and 1.9 rear)and a tiny bit toe-in are my general settings and they made a huge difference.
Do you track with the DWS’? I’m still wanting the grip on the track and can’t afford a separate track wheel/tire set up right now so I’ll be using the new wheels for the street and track.I replaced the Michelin's with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06. The tramlining is completely gone, makes driving a lot more enjoyable.
No, I don't track, just a daily driver for cruising. I don't think Conti makes a 315/30/19 DWS anyway, but they do have that size in the ExtremeContact Force. It really surprised me when I drove it home with the DWS. No tramlining at all. Noise level is about the same.Do you track with the DWS’? I’m also finding a limited availability of 315/30/19 for the rears. I am finding a good amount of 325’s to stagger with 305’s up front. I’m installing steeda’s caster/camber in the front as well as putting on their dual rate springs for magnaride all the way around. Does anyone have any experience with that set up and 325’s in the rear? Any rubbing? Or issues that I might run into with it being lowered just a little?
I have the stock MPSS on my 350 and will need to replace them eventually. I track a couple of times per year. in your opinion:Stock GT350.
MP4S
325/30/19 rear
305/30/19 front
No rub on track (have 3 track days on them at thunderhill East).
1) Yeah for only 2 a year I'd still consider it. I'm a noob and these were my first 3 track days. I am getting ton of feathering at the edge of the tire and they feel slick at the end of the day. However, they're fantastic street tires so a decent compromise.I have the stock MPSS on my 350 and will need to replace them eventually. I track a couple of times per year. in your opinion:
1. good track tire for standard track days?
2. How much did the 30's lower the front splitter?
thanks...1) Yeah for only 2 a year I'd still consider it. I'm a noob and these were my first 3 track days. I am getting ton of feathering at the edge of the tire and they feel slick at the end of the day. However, they're fantastic street tires so a decent compromise.
2) Tire calculator tells me maybe ~0.5"? That seems about right.
Running Michelin PS4S Square 295/35/19. Just removed my cup2's Trammeling basically gone.I'm trying to decide between the Pirelli P zero and the Michelin 4S. I don't want to deal with tire heat up and the trammeling anymore. Any suggestions from guys who have driven both?
Thanks
