Yep. I am GT500 brake swapping the GT350R!

Best way to get wheel measurements for the brakes is to have them in hand. Hopefully they are on this weekend.

Definitely a heavy setup. Not something I might necessarily recommend as an upgrade due to the mass. However, who else was going to do it besides me. Lol.

Plus my need for the measurements is based on the Signature Wheel orders we have waiting to go into production for the GT500.

Will update once done in my build thread.

Cheers!

Brakes are incredibly good on the gt350. No reason to install the 500 as you would most likely have less braking performance due to the much heavier setup.

But as OP stated, not necessarily trying to add to the GT350 but mocking up for new wheel set up's for the new GT500 wheels.

Will be watching OP....

Ya know, enquiring minds are going to have a really important question for you about going in the reverse direction.

If you're like me, and you've got four sets of GT350 rims and tires in addition to your stock ones, is there any hope of swapping the front GT500 brakes to GT350 brake rotors and calipers so you can keep using the rims you've got?

I expect the GT350 caliper will bolt up to the knuckle, but will a GT350 rim fit over it?

The ABS calibration and bias in the ECU will not match the caliper and rotor size in addition to the traction and slip control when swapping things. It might be fine, but it might not be.

Put em on. Get your measurements. Put it back. You would be adding unnecessary weight and an additional stopping force that was designed for a heavier car.

If it ain’t broke...

put some track pads on if you need more bite, the gt350 brakes are perfect for the car!

but, I applaude the tinkering ;)

That's hilarious how big those brakes are. I love it.
