I was never a big fan of our 2015-2019 Shelby emblem (Cobra trapped inside the box). And I much rather have 2020 version of Cobra emblem. If possible, I'd love to swap GT350 decklid to GT500 decklid when it comes out.

First of all, do you think this will be possible?
Second of all, would you do it? Do you think this is a good idea?

Possible? Yes. Do it? Absolutely not...
Can you explain why you wouldn't? Cuz people might judge you thinking that you're driving automatic Shelby? :giggle:
Or more so because you like GT350 look?

I’m guessing it’s like putting a 5.0 badge on an eco boost.

I do like the 500 badge more, but I’d have no desire to change it. I may do it only if I change the backlights to the new ones.

A) I really like our rectangular badges. Really classy, understated look.

B) people might think you’re trying to fool them into thinking you drive a gt500. Equivalent to sticking M badges on non-M BMWs.

Much prefer the GT350 emblem. IMO it has the vintage look, especially the similarity to the 67 GT350...

Both emblems depict a cobra. I don't think anyone is going to confuse either car by an emblem change. That said, I prefer the more subtle GT350 cobra emblem... in RED. ;)

Not a fan of the XL snake logo on the 500 so I’d vote no.

Personally I think both look out of place but that's just me. And I prefer the 350 style emblem on the decklid if it had to be there. I'd rather have the snake only emblem on the fender but I prefer the GT350 emblem there too. I've seen some people put a snake emblem aside or underneath their GT350 emblem and let me say, less is WAY WAY WAY more.......looks stupid AF (sorry for going millennial).

I like to disassemble things.
The GT350 "team" wanted subtle badging that was well executed and tasteful. The GT500 designers wanted "bigger than life" and to attract everyone's attention with billboard style badging.

Mix the two...ehh. To each his own.

And for the record and to avoid continued confusion down the road - the decklid is the sheetmetal stamping that covers the trunk area. The decklid trim panel is what I'd assume the OP is considering swapping out. A badgeless example...

I don't typically love badges, but that snake looks good to me. In the photo it doesn't look very big or anything. I say if you want to, do it. IMO the snake belongs on the GT350 as much as it belongs on the GT500. It's not like you're planning to put something that actually says "GT500" on your car.

I've seen quite a few visual mods posted on here that were cheesier than this.

Edit: I didn't vote because I'm more ambivalent about it. I wouldn't say it's a good idea, but I wouldn't discourage you either.
