Also, at $5k in 2020 it is getting a bit expensive, in 2016 this same exact package was under $3k and much more bang for your buck.
I penciled it out - the $2500 price was a bargain. The $4k, not nearly so much. I've had to buy my PP1 suspension twice which blows chunks. Had I known how lousy the PP1 shocks were I likely would have bought a base and bought the appropriate brake and chassis upgrades a la carte and come out considerably ahead even after paying shop labor. The only major question mark would have been retrofitting the Torsion and more importantly the 3.73 diff. I probably would have passed on the latter so that expensive install would have been waived.

Just throwing it out there, but a lot of people have limits on what their banks/credit unions will loan them from the get-go... ;).

What did you use for the rear differential?
Stock 3.55 gears, I would've gotten the 3.31 if I could have found that. I drove a roush blower pp1 car and the gears were too short with the torsen 3.73. Whipple on the 3.55 is surprisingly good though.

Man I can not believe the PP1 package is over $5000 now. Back in 2015 it was $2500 for all the same stuff. It was defiantly a bargain for the performance parts you got in 15.

Yeah, and it is also hard to believe a loaded GT mustang is pushing 55k retail new. That is insane.

The brakes and torsen will set you back $4k alone not including install..... The Tires, wheel etc.. another $2400 min..... I agree the suspension leaves a lot to be desired but its hard to argue that the torsen, the brakes and tires are not the biggest upgrades you can do to the car. I can understand thinking the brakes are a waste if you are not tracking the car but tires/wheels and a torsen is something everyone is going to feel.

S550 is probably the best balanced stang to date. That heavy irs (Iron diff pp1 :) ) helps the balance.

Are you sure that it is for the V8?
Regardless, that's still front heavy and the only reason to put smaller tires on the heavier side is because that create understeer and we have way too many lawyers in this country ( and i do love law)
Understeer is considered very safe .... Know why ??

Positive.

There's a multitude of ways to counter understeer, the best is less braking.

So, the reason why understeer is considered safe and why most car manufacturers design understeering cars is because the normal reaction of the "regular" driver when going too fast around a turn and the front end don't want to turn and want to "push", is to lift and often time apply brakes.
Traction being a function of weight transfer, when you lift/brake, more weight is transferred to the front and therefore tires get more traction and the front turn
Imagine an oversteering car (the one that i enjoy) in the same scenario, that would be rear end going wide and lifting would make it worst. More gas and counter steering is needed and there are very few drivers that have the skills and experience to do so

Oh yeah, much better to have a car understeer before oversteer. Just saying the car handles well imo.
