I called Ford customer service just to see what they would say and they didn't know!!But they said they'll get back to me about it. I'm probably gonna end up taking it off and just going with the PP.
are you allow to make changes on your odder after your assigned a VIN? asking just in case I happen to get my VIN today.

This. The aftermarket will have options for this part I'm certain. You'll probably be able to buy whatever one you want... they are one piece, well constructed and essentially pop out.
Love the turned dash and gauges, didn't come with 50th Anniversary Appearance Package — I'll swap out to PP if all gauge connections are already in the harness and fully functional. I also want the PP aluminum crossmember brace.Hey DarkKnightDant3,
I recommend contacting your sales manager. He’ll be in the best position to assist and advise if changes are still able to be made.
Happy Friday Eve!

Truth be told, I wanted everything in the PP package except for the 3.73 Torsen rear and staggered wheels, so I walked away. Gas mileage is bad enough with the standard GT rear (15 around town so far), and I still get sideways every time I jump on it in the first three gears.
P.S. - I screwed up and missed that I had to order the $795 Voice-Activated Navigation to get on-screen Maps when I ordered, too - now it can't be upgraded, and there's nothing I can do about it as Ford considers it an aftermarket item, which I guess would void the 7-year Ford extended warranty I purchased from the dealer.:frusty:
Also nice. I guess I'm mostly lusting after the gauges.in my car thr 50th AP trumped the PP dash.

My money is on the connectors not being there.Has anyone found out if the harness behind the dash already has the connections for the two gauges in the PP dash?
I know that dash costs $1500.00, but I'd still be interested in ordering it and having the dealer install it in a non-PP Mustang. I really do love the look of having those gauges, but I also don't want the PP.
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll have the service department investigate this for me as well.My money is on the connectors not being there.
Ford could save $3-$5 per car by not putting that harness in place. I work with the manufacturers on electronics my company supplies and they literally tighten the belt on $0.10 per unit and will bicker on the price to that level on a $80-100 kit. When you run the numbers with the volume, it adds up to a lot of money.
However, when they replaced mine the dealer did it in a matter of a couple minutes and it looked to mostly be fastened by the standard interior pop-locks, so you could pull yours and look.
