To me, the biggest drawback for the PP is the 3.73 final ratio, too short for DD. Other parts are sweet, although you may not necessarily utilize all of them on the street.
I am kind of torn. It is nice to be able to keep it in third gear while driving around the city but I also find myself shifting from first all the way to fifth on regular (45-50 mph limit) roads fairly quickly.

When I had a non PP car ( w 3.31 i think) i remember wanting the 3.73 gears so I could be at higher rpm for roll races (which I almost never find myself in) and for just quicker feeling acceleration. Now that I have the 3.73 I would not say I want to go back by any means but I definitely shift a lot more now.

I DD mine all day every day...The extra shifting doesnt bother me one bit...clutch is light and easy even with the steeda spring and I have a blown Knee plus the lower gear keeps me from having to downshift as much to get any power out of it...it just pulls even at low rpm. Its also nice to not have to downshift to pass someone on the interstate.

Ya'll know you can shift 1st-3rd-5th, right? I do that all the time, or just skip a gear here and there, whatever works.

That's why I keep saying 3.55 is probably the best for most people. (balance / compromise)

3.31 is great for daily driving & highway driving, but a little conservative and keeps you from "feeling" the full 400+hp of a 5.0.
3.55 is sporty and still useable as a daily driver (not too aggressive)
3.73 is aggressive and can be a little of a pain in the A55 daily driving.
4.10 for extreme performance

Some people are actually not aware you could do that. My EX was an example. When she seen me skipping gears she for sure thought I was going to break the car. She thought you had to literally shift through every gear. That's why shes my EX now.

Why would it? Shelby super snakes use 3.73 gears
Depends on what the full range of your usage is. And if you're considering wider but shorter tires.

Not just for your street driving, either, but also any of the really hard driving you might get involved with. Avoiding any need for 3rd gear at autocross or that big jump to 6th out on the big tracks could well have you preferring 3.55's or 3.31's. Drag racers probably wouldn't want to be making the dog-leg upshift to 5th close to the finish line either.

I do this frequently. Just rev it out a little further in 1st and away you go.

Of course people can skip gears. I skip gears occasionally. But if you need to skip gears frequently, it is just a bad choice of gearing.

It is a matter of how you use your car, why people argue what's best for other people when you don't even know how other people use their car? Any choice of final ratio is a compromise between different scenarios, and 3.73 is not the best gearing in ALL scenarios.

Don't be so narrow minded.
