U can buy some cat delete pipes. They are not as involved as headers. I'm still waiting for mine from Mak performance. They are bolt on for the most part, you do have to cut the driver side cat of and weld it the pipe to the header. I was quoted 85.00 from a local shop to do this. They next to the tune are an awesome addition that you can feel.

Noticeably I'm sure, I had them on my last car with Gt 500 mufflers, in my opinion they were awesome. I don't want obnoxious or even too loud, so I'll do this delete pipe with the stock mufflers for now. Then get the Touring axle back down the road.

Nice stereo write up... I can't wait to get all mine hooked up. I went with Jbl gx 600 c for the doors with an alpine powepack amp, then the mrx for the sub. It should all be derived this week

Lund vs. Dyno Tune

Since I'm just interested in all this stuff I got some dyno run comparisons.

Lund:

So for all intent and purpose it is a wash. The canned Lund tune is putting out basically the same numbers as a custom dyno tune. Though the custom has a bit more under the curve. Curious that your trap speeds were consistently higher with the Lund. Is this the shop dyno or a 3rd party one?

I wonder how things would look if you data logged and let Lund tweak the tune (if necessary).

It was at a 3rd party shop. Next time I can go to the track I'll run the 2 tunes with keeping more of the other parameters the same such as the PSI and drive mode since learning what the car likes. All in all I forget this whole process is pretty much why I bought this car lol.

As long as you had traction control off, the drive modes shouldn't affect times in 1/4 mile. And I don't think psi will affect your trap speed (assuming the tire isn't basically flat). I could be wrong there.

Looking at PSI on it's own was quite telling on the 60' but I don't know how much it played into the trap time as you said. Wish I had a couple of 20 PSI runs with the shop tune.

25 PSI
2.131 - Shop
2.162 - Shop
2.168 - Shop
2.174 - Lund

20 PSI
2.075 - Lund
2.069 - Lund
2.087 - Lund

Does DA play any factor into the 60' times?

Honestly, BOTH tunes seem to be a little down on power. The tunes are down about 20rwhp, vs our stock car tune. And then our tuning for our Windstorm and JLT CAIs add around an additional 14rwhp!

You are saying this without knowing his dynojet baseline?

lol

so I can bring you my stock auto that dyno'd at 340's, and your tune with no cai is going to put me at 4 teens???

I would take my supercharger off, put the car back to completely stock, and put $20,000 that you don't make 4 teens...

I've never seen a tune pick up 70rwhp.....

I appreciate that, it is very good to hear it can help others. Is it odd that I ran a 12.982 in "D" and a 12.952 in Track? Yes... I do have my audio system, just looked it up and each sub is 20.5 lbs (10" alpine type R) and the amps are 8.4 lbs each. There's the 3 boxes you can see below not sure what to guess on those. And I just noticed I've also got that spare tire, according to American Muscle that's 40 lbs drop. So maybe I'm a little under 150 lbs extra right now? That would knock off at least another .1 huh?

Driving modes DO NOT make the car faster, so no it isn't odd.
