What do recommend using cleaning the interior glass ie, tools, spray etc?

Especially cleaning the rear window.

I did use the Mr. Clean pad which worked well but all the spray cleaners, to me don’t work as advertised.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Be safe!

Invisible Glass is my go to, one of if not the best on the market. They also make a handy tool for the hard to reach spots on the front and rear windshields

Tried and proven to be the best is the invisible glass. Spray is better than foaming can and if it's streaking it's because you are applying to much. To much of any thing will cause issues. But if your windows aren't tinted then just use isopropyl alcohol. It'll clean windows the best but it's not tint safe.

I had the tint guy clean the inside of the rear window and haven't touched it since, and probably am not going to, it has stayed clean since seems like my car is done off-gassing all those toxic plastic fumes

I use invisible glass and a "streak free" microfiber cloth.

For glass cleaners, I use either Stoner's Invisible Glass or Gyeon's Glass Cleaner.

I do not apply the cleaners directly to the surface, but lightly mist across a towel. Enough to dampen the glass surface and gas off, but not so much it lasts, resting on the glass surface.

I use microfiber towel (Autogeek) or a 100% cotton napkin (Target). The napkins are made of a flour sack cloth texture. They offer good grip, hold the cleaning material well and leave no streaks. I've used them across tinted surfaces and screens of all kinds.

Glass towels are separated from others and their purposes. For example, glass cloths clean only glass. Other towels are used for leather, plastic, body panels, etc. This prevents any residues from mingling with others. Leather conditioner cannot be transferred to something I'm cleaning glass with.

An additional tool for both front and rear glass is a wand. I'll wrap a towel around the head of the wand, the tool allowing me to get to the tightest surface.

Glass is cleaned inside the garage, with the door closed, in cool conditions. I do not clean glass in direct sunlight or right after bringing the car in. High temps cause the cleaners to gas almost immediately, making it difficult to apply and often leaving spots.

If you don't have access to a garage, clean the surfaces first thing in the morning, when the Sun is low in the sky and temperatures are still cool.

After cleaning with a cleaner, a second, dry towel can be used across the surface, to ensure any residues are wiped clear.

Outside surfaces of the glass are cleaned often. Inside surfaces of glass and screens are cleaned a few times a year.

What are your thoughts about micro fiber towels and reusing? I wonder if they would get residual films from laundering? I put mine in the wash and just started using for glass realizing paper towels leave streaks (never realized that for years always thought it was the cleaner solution)

I have one of their tools. For a couple of years I would struggle trying to get the covers on, then discovered that the rubber on the face would hold in place any cleaning rag I put. Really saves time. I frequently use Invisible Glass cleaner, especially on the outside of the glass. However, recently, I have been using spray isopropyl alcohol on the inside and I am very pleased with the results.

I practice separation as much as possible. Companies like Autogeek sell the same brand towels in different colors. Most of my towels are common microfiber, but different colors, for different purposes. Many of the towels I'm using can be had for little funds.

Cleaning glass, I'd use two white towels. Conditioning leather, one yellow. Sealing exterior paint, two light blue. Dark blue is for wheels, tires, exterior plastics and exhaust tips; I often use three on a maintenance wash.

The towels can often be bought in packages of six. Once I'm nearing the last of that color, I wash that one color. Depending on how often I use that color, I might wash those more frequently than others. Yellow and light blue getting slight use. Dark blue, most often.

For temperature, it's whatever that vendor calls for. Some towels, hot water is asked for. Others, cold. For drying, the lowest temperature I can get away with.

For detergents, I'll use a common microfiber towel detergent. I will not use liquid laundry soap. I will never use laundry powder (gritty, poor performance).

A wealth of information follows.

I wonder if the alcohol works good due to the plastic out gassing residual that builds up on the windows (and kills us slowly) and being able to dissolve it?

Isopropyl has always been a solid class cleaner. You'll see some detail-tubers hit glass with stuff like CarPro Eraser and other surface preps which have a large amount of isopropyl in them.

Using super high percentage isopropyl will be a stronger cleaner, but can evaporate quickly while you're working so keep that in mind as you go.

They sell it in spray bottles which can be useful for cleaning.

With that said, I main invisible glass on all glass inside and out. I only take out isopropyl or goo gone if something is really on there.
