If you bought the kit within the last 30 days, I note that the listing includes the following:
"No Hassle 30 Day Returns"
If Levittown Ford's fitment tool is incorrect and misleading, I would hope they would give you some flexibility as to time and condition for the return.
Most of the discussion in this post has been regarding the "chemistry" of washing. On another issue, I would suggest, that to avoid "swirl marks," you always work in straight line fore-and-aft motions when doing anything that touches painted surfaces, whether washing or drying.
Edit:
Bentley's process. It's a bit involved. Different colored marks tell the computer and laser where defects are, so as to avoid them. You can also watch the detail of putting leather on the steering wheel.
Skye -- Wish you hadn't posted the You Tube of Bentley choosing leather for...
Since leather is a natural product, it comes with some natural imperfections. That may just be a healed scar that the "donor" cow suffered during its lifetime. Rolls Royce and Bentley may carefully choose portions of hides that are flawless from which to cut seat leather. I'll bet Ford doesn't.
You got a better deal than I did. I got an "Avid Power" from Amazon -- now $65.58, reduced from $89.99. It comes with three pads, too. Mine seemed quite happy when I was done with my car and I suspect I will never need to replace it. It feels solidly made, but I've never had a Griot G9 in my...
As I have noted in a previous post long ago, I am an admitted barbarian. I picked one up off of Amazon of some unknown provenance. Since my wife and I only have one vehicle each, and ceramic coating is supposed to last several years, I couldn't see spending the money for a name-brand DA...
Sorry. I failed to mention that I have a white custom-sewn microfiber glove solely for that purpose that I switch into after taking off my driving gloves. The surface seems slick to the touch of my door-closing glove!
I just used a DA polisher on my finish for the first time a few weeks ago. I used Griot's BOSS Perfecting Cream and Griot's corresponding pad. Since it was my first time with a DA polisher, I did not want to do more harm than good. For a 2019 that I drive daily, I thought my paint looked...
I consider a complement from you on this subject to be the highest possible praise! Thanks. I read tons of your posts before choosing these products.
After only a couple of weeks, the surface still feels very slick. Every time I touch the door to close it I am reminded of the surface's...
Second wash with Gyeon Bathe a couple of weeks after two applications of Gyeon MOHS Q2. It beads great now. We'll see what it's like in the years to come.
I think a variety of opinions regarding Blackstone Labs have been expressed on the forums, but I used them for the first couple of oil changes to see how long I could safely go with 10 quarts of full-synthetic oil. I didn't want to be draining oil that still had substantial useful life.
Given...
I treat my top with 303 Fabric Protector each Spring and Fall. When I wash my car, I just heavily hose down my top and squeegee the water off, then dry with a cotton Turkish towel. I figure the less cleaning products I use, the longer the protection will last. This method would obviously not...
When I tried brushing, it was never clear to me where my last brush stroke was. In order to not miss anywhere, I overlapped too much and used way too much product. I'm sure some folks are good at it. I wasn't.
My most annoying rattle sounds as if it is in the dash about 4 inches to the left of the steering column. My car is a 2019 premium convertible GT. I don't want to pull everything apart because in my experience that only creates new rattles. My dealer couldn't find the source either.
Has...
