I know this is an S550 forum and I have a Whippled 2020 GT, but I’m interested in purchasing an S650 GT but need an indication of when it will be finally custom tunable.
Do any of you believe based on solid evidence that the S650 ecu will be cracked in the next 12 months?
Asking anything about the S650 on this forum can be dangerous to your health. 🤭

If you really want answers you have to go to M7G. And the short answer is no! Over a year and nothing. Doesn’t appear to be a priority for anyone.

@Jasonb543 whats your rear tire size?
I’ve tried DBR hoosiers 28 x 10.5 x 18 and they didn’t work now I’m trying e street ss MT. I think the rear 3.55 is hurting me but tallest I can go with my wavetrack diff is 3.31 gear.

I’m on a 28/11.5/17 ET street R bias ply, radials get too much hype, you really need your suspension dialed in, surface needs to be sprayed down like flypaper out to the 1/8.. and they’re just inconsistent overall unless it’s always ideal conditions.
The bias plys give you recovery if you do spin, they make up a lot for different surfaces etc..
Not for everyone as you’ll need to learn to handle sway, zero cornering ability, but I can get out of the hole harder than a radial on regular surfaces and stuff…. I don’t roll race, you probably still want a radial for stability if you’re going fast

I wonder did Ford cut some deal with Whipple making it the exclusive forced induction option for the S650

Or vis versa, YOLO made it sound like any company could…
They just gotta put up the money and haven’t, procharger has supposedly had access also but I’ve only seen like 1 demo kit, roush also… 3 different companies, so it’s getting out there

You would also think with whipple having access at some point it slips through the cracks to others..
But their tune is incredible and the released an update with even better trans tuning, it’s just awesome for the <1K HP crowd

Would not be suprised if Whipple has to send their tune to Ford to get signed (by Ford) before it can be sent to any customers etc. I don't think Ford would allow Whipple to have a key sitting on their laptops waiting to get accidentally leaked...

I believe Ford and Bosch have to “sign” the cal. I haven’t seen “all” of a Whipple 2024 mustang file but I have seen the workings a of the 2021+ f150 Whipple and it’s much better than what Whipple had supplied in the past. My theory is that if ford was to rebrand Whipple as ford performance then ford had to have a part in the tuning, just like they did with Roush. And as such, ford would force the tunes to be better than what they supplied before.

How is the c8 relevant to s650?
Because the c8 has global b communication and was supposed to be impossible to crack but it was done. Ford is now on a “global b” equivalent of encryption. Thats why it’s relevant.

Also:

1. Supposedly the info was leaked by a Bosch or GM employee
2. Not all the models of the C8 are tunable

Ya I still thought it would take longer tho. Working on global b cars are a pain in my ass anyways.

S650 pcm encryption is equivalent to c8 which is half a decade old?

What this is all leading to is AI driving the cars and they will all be connected. Encryption has to be good enough to prevent someone hacking and then causing massive wrecks. Like it or not, and I don't, the days of us driving our cars is coming to an end. It won't be in my lifetime but it may in my grand kids.
