Might be a stupid question ...but how come 2018-2019 intakes are gray and the 2020-2021's are all black?

Good question! Could Ford have slipped the GT350 intake manifold onto the 2020-2021 models and paired it with the closed air box?

nah because I bought the 87MM throttle body and I needed the adapter for it to work

well if you go on beef cake racing .... they have a AFS ported 2021 mustang intake and its black ...... and their 18-2020 intake is gray .... makes me wonder really

thats my only guess tbh .... I really dont know, also ....my car doesnt have 2 piece drive shaft... I bought the car new in january .... soo I dont know whats up with this thing

Is your driveshaft steel or aluminum? If it’s aluminum, that gives those of us with the 2 piece shaft a potentially cheaper option than an aftermarket shaft.

Tbh I will have to look at it again of the material … my car is too new for steel to start rusting so at this stage at a glance it looks the same I just know when I was under there doing the mbrp race cat back on the car I noticed that there wasn’t a 2 piece under there thought hmm interesting

but if you have a 6 speed…. Just buy a GT350 drive shaft, it’ll bolt right up and it’s one piece and They are only 5-600$

I was going to say the same thing but I don’t want to be the one who says it. Same horsepower so what’s the difference.

Has me wondering the same, only thing I can think of is to signify the difference between gen 1-2 to gen 3? I mean even with the engine cover off which I do I threw mine in the trash the day I got it, the gen 3 looks completely different the valve covers are hideous … wish they had cool covers like gen1-2
