Nothing scientific here but cool to see the two IM’s side by side.

Ford says " dual tb for better atomization. "
I'll let that sink in.

Anyways, good luck putting a centri/turbo on that thing.

It’s screaming “marketing”… funny, when the Gen 3’s came out and all the inevitable cold air intakes started popping up, a lot of people concluded that there just wasn’t much gain to be had, the stock intake provided plenty of air.

But it looks cool 😎. Will be curious to see how many folks with the gen 1 and gen 2 coyotes in particular try it out and what kinds of modifications they have to do to fit a second intake.

None of this matters since tuning for them won’t be available for years of at all.

If some one tries to bolt the gen 4 IM on an S550 car, I’m sure there will be a few tuners that will be able to tune it. If LMR already has one I’m sure they’re not the only vendor that has one.

That’s where the tuning issue will come in that ZXMustang referenced. The S650 locked ECU will be a major roadblock unless you go through a “Ford approved” vendor. And I doubt they’ll be swapping out the dual TB for a gen 3.

I'm waiting to see the first CJ or Holley swap. Looking forward to gapping any S650 I see until I decide to pull the trigger on one myself after a few model years.

You'll still have that water-neck problem.
Not to mention the additional wiring harness to connect to the second t/body electronics.
