I still can’t believe they haven't switched the elbow over to the Mach1 style. There would be no cutting, rubbing or engine cover modification using that tube.

I recall they did revise something in the kit and I had received the updated kit

Well at least I got the updated kit, has the 90% connector vs the straight one that earlier kits had.

I have a 2018 GT PP1 with a manual as well. Tell me in what ways the driving experience changed / improved for you.

More low end, improved throttle response. It just runs like should have to begin with. I think the 91 octane helps with that. I have 93 here and run octane additive and it rips. I also think having a PP2 helps a little in the suspension is a little stiffer, wider tires 305 all the way around put the power down. I also have the viral atak exhaust. So for me it was worth it. Like I said if I go to the next level it would SC for bang for the buck. I have not had any issues at with it.

Torque at lower RPM. Gains a little over 40lbs at 2000ish RPMs.

Definitely better in daily driving around town, car has an improved and very noticeable feeling of more at low RPMs.

My 2019 PP2 def handled better than my 2021 GT does. Early next year I'll be doing swaybars and other things to get that feel back. The PP2 was on rails.

It's been mentioned before, but the #1 benefit of this tune for us manual guys in my opinion is reduced rev hang, making your upshifts quicker and smoother. The factory tune was horrible about that.

Otherwise as others have said, nice bump in low end power. I also like the little pops and burbles you get under hard accel/decel now, definitely weren't there with the factory tune even with the exhaust in track mode. It's nothing excessive like you hear with popcorn tunes or whatever or people running catless, just a nice subtle difference.

Good point on the rev hang, it's been so long with the tune I forgot that was the #1 reason I wanted this lol. It really is so much improved.

I burnt 9 gallons over the weekend mixed driving. IMO, the Lund shifting is better. I don't even feel the need to not use normal now, but S+ is a beast. In Normal, its better about 9th and 10th gear, and shifts are more firm. S+ was running 65 in the cruise and stayed in 9th gear. It also still shifts hard but it's not as abrupt in some gears. The 1-2 in Normal was an annoyance for me, it would happen right off the line at a green light, where the Lund is behaving better there too.

So for me, the FP>OEM, and Lund>FP with regards to Normal and S+.

That's a disposible paper filter aka a throw away. You could search for one of these: https://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-highflow-air-filter-1517gt350.html as they're washable.

You're welcome. The quest for the almighty dollar I suspect . I purchased the washable one and put it on my 20GT FP kit. Prefer the ability to clean the filter at my convenience without a trip to the store. Have a great weekend Yves!
