Just took a ride up to the store. In normal mode with it in D, it never hits 4. Tried slowly getting there and quickly, and it goes from 3 to 5 every time. If I move the lever into S, which is what I usually drive in, I don’t notice any abnormal delay from 4 to 5, but before the tune it would be clunky occasionally going from 4 to 5 (which I’ve read is common) and that’s gone now. With this tune, there’s no delay in power in any gear for me. If you can elaborate more I can try to replicate and see.
Is this D in a non drive mode car? This sounds like D in normal mode, but definitely not D in sport+, track or drag mode. Typically will only use normal mode for the first few minutes after start to let the car warm up.

Yes regular start up switched into D. Was trying to replicate his issue as he didn’t specify any particular driving mode.

Now that makes more sense, and what Ford is publishing for the tune.

Also look at the top of the rev range it was still moving up but got cut off due to the max mph hit on the dyno for dynoing in 4th with a MT. Also from 2k rpm -2500rpm almost 40ft/lbs more torque. Although I saw another dyno where they only got 7-9rwhp. I can only speak for my car it runs like a raped ape.

Hmm maybe it needed to settle in after the tune And kam reset or something to see the effects. Mine is definitely improved but don’t really don’t feel like paying for another dyno to see. Maybe one day.

That and the current heat + humidity will cause the timing to be pulled a bit. That's the down side of low(ish) displacement engine that relies on high compression for its low end power.

After reading this thread for the 5th time I decided to pull the trigger on this kit.
My car is 2.5 years old so I'm considering installing it myself.

I have been following this thread and am interested in this tune. Does installing this knock the 5 yr/60k mile powertrain warranty back to 36,000? I apologize if this has been discussed and I missed it...

My take is it depends...it mainly depends on the dealer but also if the warranty issue can be directly related to the tune itself. Otherwise your 5/60 should still apply.

Just like any after market tune any normal warranty work not related to tune or parts should be covered by original warranty. If your AC goes out but youelr tuned for e85 your ac is still getting fixed under coverage. Difference is with the FP if something pops and was determined related to tune or parts then FP warranty and not the oem Ford warranty will cover it under the more limited terms.

Exactly.
This being engineered by Ford itself should also be more dealer friendly, but again, I believe it depends on the dealer.
If possible, better take it to a Ford dealer that deals with FP parts.

... I've been reading off and on in this thread, and will likely pull the trigger on this kit myself for my 2021 M6 GT. What is the conclusion about the pinging though, can somebody please summarize?
