I for one would like an e85 tune that includes the parts that came with the FP kit.
I'll eventually look into it after the warranty period is up.
Yeah otherwise have to return back to stock to use the tunes like lund e85, but they do have adjustments for other CAI offerings etc. so this might net a little more performance over a oem throttle body size CAI lund tune?

Which works, for about a week or so.

I have a 2020 GT A10, my previous 2018 a10 did not have these downshifts as harsh as this one can. Ive had the dealer look over everything and nothing has been found out of order, it seems some cars just do this. Ive done the reset several times, and the car will be smooth for awhile, the problem will eventually return. FYI you can force a reset without paying the 150. Anyways, since some have reported the tune changes the shifting pattern and makes it much smoother, i figure its worth it, ordered mine from lewitown ford which has the kit for 1k even with free shipping.
Well it is nice the included procal has kam reset function if needed. I am fine with my stock A10, just feel some quirks, but very rarely. I bet if Ford flashed my ECU, the FP tune will overwrite it anyway.

It should be better than stock.
Whenever I get ready to find out about a tune I'll likely see what AED says since they aren't far away from me.

Shaun is a wizard on this platform so not a bad way to go.

I posted this elsewhere as well, but has anyone noticed a difference in exhaust note on their GT after installing this kit? I'm hoping it gets that deep rumble the Bullitt has.

It's definitely different. I don't know if there is a difference between GT and Bullitt mufflers but my active exhaust with an x-pipe is sick. I get pops between shifts, both up and down.

Same here, although I'm Borla Switchfire and Steeda Axle-backs. Very birbly and poppy. Also if you have a 300a with no drive modes, the improvement in driveability is wonderful.

The kit would be more advantageous on a base car with no drive modes than one equipped with them.

Good to know. I'm trying to replicate the Bullitt sound (sans active exhaust) on my GT. I love the deep burble, but I don't need my car any louder.

I wonder if further down the road, will Lund offer a tune option for this kit? I can build the custom lund tune, but it does not have a drop down option for the FP throttle body and CAI?

I want to amend my answer here as I had a few thoughts on the FP power packs. As an engineer I don't believe that there is any advantage to the 87mm throttle body for the PP2 on the 2015-2017 or the PP available for the 2018-2020. As these both come with an adapter which necks down to 80mm. I believe that the TB was included in these kits so that ford could use the GT350/Bullet intake and not have to develop an intake to fit on the standard 80mm TB as the development of an adapter plate will incur less cost than the development of a new intake.

If you're going to go with a mail order tune, skip the FP power packs and just buy an intake (my preference being Roush). Otherwise if you want OEM reliability with no aftermarket BS to deal with then I'd go with FP in a heartbeat.

I also do not understand why the throttle body part, since the FP kit CAI plastic housing and tube is shaped different and made from scratch, they could have just used the stock diameter of the TB into the new FP CAI mold. it re-uses the Air Filter for 350/Bullitt, but the housing is brand new to fit around the 5.0 engine cover and fender area. Could have just made a new tubing along with the new housing they designed, perhaps still retain the sound tube connection for some.

Yeah they do have lund tune for roush intake and also one for roush intake without insert etc, so I am sure they could do tune for this kit later for E85 or so, so FP users do not need to have to yank out the entire kit and replace back to stock or use the other supported aftermarket CAIs that lund can tune for.

I thought about the Roush intake power pac, but I found out from Roush that the tune is with the insert in (not without) and also it lacked any A10 adjustments, it was just more of the power improvement, but no transmission improvements, while the FP kit addresses both. Also Roush tune needs the Roush program and pass thru and is more of a complete overwrite with a Dealer. Cannot store your stock tune easily on your own personal device such as a Procal.

As was said, the intake on the gen 3 is much better than gen 2, do not need to change at this level of upgrade. As for TB, maybe it has to do with trying to be close to Bullitt configuration. Also, with gen 2 performance pacs, PP2 came with TB as well and showed a slight improvement at higher rpms. PP3 then came with new intake.

I need to clarify here is when I meant intake, I mean the part with the air filter attached, not the intake manifold. With that in mind the 350 TB is likely part of the package as it likely provided a better seal with the intake tube than could be achieved on the standard 80mm throttle body.

On my 2015 I ended up going with the roush power pack 1 due to them including the programming tool that would also work for my ecoboost truck as there's no FP powerpack available for the 3.5 eco. Also their tune was also adaptive for lower octane as well and their gains are similar to what was seen on the FP PP2. I did consider the PP3 but really my car is a street car that I'll be using for the occasional track day.

On the 18-20 FP Powerpack its unlikely you'll see any noticeable gains with a Lund tune other than E-85. Adding an 87mm throttle body just adds an additional layer of complexity for these email tuners.

Again if you're going to go aftermarket, get an intake that fits on your 80mm TB and skip the FP Power Pack.

Obviously tuning for e85 would be a substantial increase.
