I was able to pick one up today at one of my local dealers (Vista Ford). I also needed a new housing unit which is also backordered, but they said they expect a ship date for those in early March. For the filters, I think it's going to be easier to get them from the dealer rather than trying to find them online.

Are we going to need to buy a parts car to keep these things running?

I'll take the wheels, wing, splitter and Recaro seats if you find one.

Edit:
And the engine too. I already have a spare transmission.

Edit:
And the seat delete.

Edit:
And this lamp, and this ashtray, and.... (Steve Martin)

All I'm needing is new cup 2s for the front of my 350, and some 93 octane.
Then I'm ready for "spring" event at Mid-Ohio

Soon a barn find will be a car that has some old gas with stabilizer in it.

I think the funnier thing is that none of the dealerships have a work around for this and they get really bullish when you ask if they will warranty the engine with a non motorcraft filter. Just yesterday a dealership in NH stated they have not seen a FL-2087 in 7 months. If I'm paying you $170 for an oil change and then you come out to tell me that you are all out of filters after you've already drained the oil..... how is that my problem. Drop a K&N in, make a note on my file and move on. I know it's first world problems but come on. Yet another reason to question the longevity of our cars. I've already come to terms that years down the road we will all be dropping cross plane crate engines in these cars when the warranties and engines reach the end of their life.

Several quality oil filters on the market for the 350. While the dealer can make life difficult, they do not decide whats covered. And unless the oil filter can be pin pointed as the problem, the warranty is not voided. So some of you are saying every new car has to have Motorcraft parts and supplies to be covered. Exactly why the Magnusson act was passed
