It is makes a pretty big difference for times. It is like going from Cup2s on a GT350R to R888Rs. If you are in any sort of competition(like time attack) you get penalized for using tires like those. So, why shouldn't that same logic apply to drag racing? You can't claim a car is stock with tires!

Any modification= not stock. Tires effect handling, grip, and stopping distance.

You’re missing the entire point, as are many others. If you want to compare what car is quicker you do it tire for tire.

So if you want to claim a stock GT500 is as quick as a Demon, you do it tire for tire.

Not a fair comparison if you let the Demon use DRs because they came on it.

Line both cars up in the same tires with no other mods and see who wins.
