I couldn't mount the bracketeer under the seat and returned it. Anyone found any solutions to mount a run of the mill 2.5 lb fire extinguisher?

thanks

I have something similar to this.

A friend is running something similar in order to do the Big Bend Rally this month too.
that's looks like the one I ordered and couldn't seem to get mounted on my 2022 Ecoboost

I used to have mine attached to the passenger seat using a Brey Krause Mount

It was simple and moved with the seat.
I now just have it mounted to the roll bar with a quick release.

cool, I'll definitely check that one out. Looks like I can just mount the bracket that my fire extinguisher came with to that?

Yep. That's what I did. I had to drill some more holes in the Brey Krause mount but still super easy.

Wierd. I didn't install mine yet, but it looks like it bolts right up.
If you manage to get it would you mind taking some pics to show me lol. Both my friend and I tried to mock it up but couldn't get it to work, maybe ecoboost seats/rails are slightly different

I don’t know the size of his fire extinguisher but I plan to mount mine similar to @Scootsmcgreggor

Remove the seat in 3min, save weight, use existing holes, easy.

However, actually love the mount Biggsy posted above.

It fits nicely between the seat and rocker panel.

ETA: Just noticed the carpet is not tucked under the trim on the rocker in the rear on the drivers side. WTF happened to QC?

I was using the Element fire extinguisher and had several tech inspection conservations where they did not like it. I believe this was just because they did not know the product but either way they would have been happier with something that looked like a normal one.

I would not use it in a race car. It has to be struck similar to a road flare for activation. It will last longer than the units we typically have in our cars/trucks. It probably has a disclaimer that says not for racing use. I had it in my classic and figured it wouldn't hurt to keep in this car.

That’s a good mount and location. Do you think if the kick panel was removed and provisioned with bolt holes for the mount, would the mount still work or would longer bolts be needed?
