My latest track mod. I hadn't much thought of adding a fire extinguisher until a track weekend in July I was having tires put on at our track by "The Tire Guy" and a brand new C8 came off the track smoking. We looked and thought oh blown tire or oil leak, but as they came off into the paddock it turned into dark black smoke , stopped about 40 ft from us and then flames were coming out of the engine area behind the driver. We yelled very loudly to "GET OUT OF YOUR CAR, IT'S ON FIRE!!" then started yelling for someone with a fire extinguisher, very loud again. Thankfully a nice guy came loping over with a large sized one and put it out. Poor guy with the C8 said it was only 3 weeks old, first track time ever. So I took a lesson, be prepared.
(I know someone is going to mention it so, I drive with my top down on track. Access no problem.)
