I don't know about Texas or Georgia, but here in Florida, there is no inspection. The hell kind of nazi regime state do yall live in?
The kind of state that's been bullied by the federal government to meet air quality standards or lose billions of dollars of federal highway funding. It's not the entire state, only certain overpopulated areas that don't meet those air quality standards.

It used to be state wide but it's now only in large metro areas like Houston. If I'm not mistaken it's due to the EPA requiring emissions tests for those areas. Otherwise, the state wouldn't require it.

For a state that claimes to give the feds the finger often they sure bend a knee to get highway funding. The emissions in Houston, Dallas, Austin, etc are all because Uncle Sam wanted it.

So you need to look up the "drive cycle" because in 1500 miles your normal driving isn't quite the kind of speeds/speed changes that the ECU is looking for before it verifies that the O2 sensors and whatnot are in a happy range for emissions.

If you put some dedicated effort into following the drive cycle procedure you can get it to ready up. I've been through this a few times with my tunes. Anytime you upload a tune, all the Emissions stuff is reset and it needs to see that drive cycle before it will show ready and you can pass the inspection.

If you're not in Dallas, Austin, or San Anonio (not in one of the big cities) then early next year the inspection requirement is going away. (and frankly you can just take your chances with a ticket until then) However if you're in one of the metroplexes, you'll still need to pass inspection to get registered. The ticket you get is like <$200 and you can just pay it. its not a moving violation and while you could get another at any time, they don't go on your record and don't affect your insurance. I drove a turbo car which wouldn't pass the damn ODB2 inspection for like 5 years in Texas.

Conroe is part of the Houston metroplex and inspection will be required.

It was state wide for just a second. I lived in beaumont for 25 years and had multiple cars with FFE (free flowing exhaust) and always passed.

I grew up in Beaumont before moving to the Houston area in 2010.

It's the county he's in. Out here in West Texas I think I could run around with open headers and not have a problem. Just don't try driving around without a front plate 🤪

Next year most counties in Texas are joining you and not having any kind of inspection at all. OP just needs to move a county or two over.
Yes, in Montgomery County just north of Houston. And we're not one of the counties tagged to be exempt for inspection, so I need to get this figured out.

Did you install defoulers with the LTH install? Ever get a CEL since install? Tuned with the LTH?
Yes, was tuned with the headers and h-pipe. Had only a couple of CELs since the install related to idle issues. I don't know if defoulers were installed.
