I took my ā22 Mach 1 Handling Pack 6spd to the track for the first time last night. Didnāt go well. Iām well experienced in drag racing Mustangs (including stick) but this car with the IRS and street tires is a mess.
First pass, car spins pretty bad off the line (Pilot Sport 4Sās). Eventually...
I have a 2022 Mach 1 with Kooks LT with green cats and a Steeda h-pipe. I've met all drive cycle requirements, but now the car is giving P0420 and P0430 codes (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold - Banks 1 & 2). I'm running a Lund tune if that matters. Anyone else in Texas passing...
Yes, was tuned with the headers and h-pipe. Had only a couple of CELs since the install related to idle issues. I don't know if defoulers were installed.
Yes, in Montgomery County just north of Houston. And we're not one of the counties tagged to be exempt for inspection, so I need to get this figured out.
Went in for my first state inspection today. Failed due to 'O2 Sens', 'O2 Sens Htr' and 'Catalyst' reading "not ready". '22 Mach 1 with Kooks LTH w/green cats and Steeda H-pipe. Anyone else have this issue? The guy asked when the exhaust was changed out and thought that maybe the computer...
Recently had long tube headers and an h-pipe installed with a flex tune. Noticed the car now idles higher than normal (~1200 RPMs) and the rev match downshift RPM isn't the same - also stays a bit elevated before resting where it should. Tuner says it's "part of the tune". Looking for...
Finally got around to doing this.
I did not get a true stock baseline as I had already removed the HC trap including tube.
Baseline (w/out HC trap): 427 whp
Add Kooks 1-7/8" LTH w/green cats and Steeda H-pipe and Flex tune: 447 whp
Seems low, but whatever. Temp was high 80's with baro...
Do the 2nd day. I'm an above average driver and didn't learn much from the 1-day class. It was a lot of fun and great to wring out the car, but really wish I would've sprung for the 2nd day.
I will likely be doing 3 dyno runs soon:
1) Bone stock
2) Bone stock sans HC trap
3) With Kooks 1-7/8" LTH and Steeda H-pipe installed (with a tune)
I'll post results once I have them.
This may be more of a Coyote-related question than for the Mach 1, but what's a realistic number to shoot for on HP/TQ if I wanted to stay naturally aspirated on my Mach 1 and NOT touch the short block? I.e.: cams, intake, exhaust all OK as mods. Would I have any driveability issues? TIA
Has anyone had the red paint chip off their calipers? I have a small spot on the front right brake caliper that has come off. Can I just touch it up? Where do I get the paint?
