SO SO TRUE! I really miss the handling of my Eco with the FRPP suspension package. Remarkably good. I have the base gt stuff now and it is not good. Hopefully the FRPP on the GT will at least have it close to the ecoboost feel.just imagine what it would actually handle like with the FRPP Track suspension bolted on. Both my GT/PP and EB/PP promptly got the chassis/IRS and diff fixes applied and improved significantly.
That's the thing I was thinking about. You'll never get a 4 cylinder to ever sound like a V8, especially not like even the stock base GT. I know a lot of guys have upgraded their exhaust but I have just a plain old base GT and I have to say, the stock exhaust is loud enough for me and I like the sound of it. No raspy crackly sound but a nice pleasant roar when cruising or light acceleration. On a WOT it cranks a lot louder, but it was still sounding better than my old '71 Mach 1 that I had modified with cam, intake, headers, etc. (not to mention tons more acceleration). That Mach 1 required me to fool with the idle mixture just about every day as the atmospheric pressure changed day to day (never had that issue until I had the cam installed). I'm happy to have a factory stock car with lots more power and better reliability because I'm leaving it stock (not to mention not having to worry about voiding the warranty). The only mods I've made is the jacking rails, hood lifts and JLT oil separator, none of which affects the warranty.I traded my 18 EB Premium for a 19 GT Premium for one reason. The sound of the Coyote engine. The EB was a great car but the engine sound even with exhaust upgrades just didn't cut it for me.

It really shouldn't be, because there's nothing objectively bad about it except maybe the stock tune. It's just missing the theatre aspect, which not everyone really cares about. It's certainly fast enough to get you to "go directly to jail" speeds, so the performance angle isn't super relevant either. I don't want one, because it doesn't appeal to me. But I feel like the worst part of owning it is not the fault of the car itself. The stigma is just horrible.Don’t do it. Won’t matter what mods you do or how much horsepower it makes, it’s still an eco boost. The black sheep of the mustang family until the Mach-E came along.
it’s a weird stigma I get compliments a lot. Just by everyone except mustangowners. Lol the gt guys generally won’t even look at our cars.It really shouldn't be, because there's nothing objectively bad about it except maybe the stock tune. Stigma as practiced on this site (others?) maybe. I see TONS of EB out on the road (some might be V6) and far, far fewer GT. I haven't seen anyone harassed for driving a EB on the road. Now maybe at Car and Coffee events one keeps running into V8 snobs...But I feel like the worst part of owning it is not the fault of the car itself. The stigma is just horrible.
