Doubt it. Ops not a troll.
If it's as much of a trainwreck as the F150 manifold better than the 2018 manifold thread he made, he's 100% serious.

I had a 15 ecoboost with just an intercooler added for 4.5 years. Now have a 16 GT. I still miss certain aspects of the Eco. The 2000 to 3000 torque was really nice and the handling with Ford racing suspension was VERY good. I had a tuned audi ttrs and that torque was so freaking addictive and I assume a tuned Eco could be close.

But I didn't trust the reliability and much as I don't really care what others think, the constant crapping on the Eco wears you down. I tried exhaust but always went back to stock.

So I have no chance of going back to the Eco but I am still working out a plan to get the GT where I want it. I'm hoping I can without F/I. Suspension to fix atrocious handling. Tune helped with torque but the truck intake is next. And I just put a 2020 active exhaust on and really like that.

I traded a '18 GT for a '20 ecoboost HPP with handling pack. The HPP is amazing around town with instant torque. Handling is like a PP2. If you drag race a lot keep the GT. I'm very happy with my choice.

Dealer offered me a trade, my 17 GT base + 5000 for a new 2020 eco boost permium
but all that intake research ...

They want 33K for the boost.
that seems high actually. Got a link? It should be a solid >12% off MSRP and then about 3500 in Ford rebates on top of that.

I switched off between my v8 and EB regularly. They are just different and I enjoyed both. Yes the v8 sound tingles the spine but a *properly* tuned EB can haul the mail just fine.

I love the coyote engine, I'd be a basket case if I traded for anything without one.

I'm sure the EB is a great car...it's still a Mustang after all. I just can't stand the sound of 4 cyl. engines unless you can't hear them.LOL I couldn't even buy a 4 cyl. Toyota Camry when I went out looking for a new daily. Had to buy the V6 instead.

I dont personally get it, but ive never owned a v8. I like the eco sound, and I like quiet too when im driving. if I had a loud exhaust and interrupted my music, id be sad. I just commute though, mind my own business, stay in right lane and try to stay under the radar of cops.

I grew up around V8 cars and have always had one pretty much ever since my late teens. I just love the sound of a V8 especially with some exhaust. It's what moves me soul if that makes any sense.lol

for a premium + performance pack. The window sticker was north of 45K

I'll look for a link

I bought my son a base 2020 Ecoboost new, last month, for just over $24K out the door.

My opinion, it will never keep up with my car, but for the price, you get a lot of performance. It handles well, feels very nimble, and has pretty good acceleration. Best in it's class I think.

If by "Performance Pack" you mean the higher output engine then 33K out the door is probably fair.

pretty sure he means, premium (leather interior package) + performance pack- being handling pack. not the HPP higher performance package with the bigger turbo.

my car was 34k msrp and my car is just a ecoboost premium.- not even a performance pack. I met a lady recently who had a HPP ecoboost, she paid almost 50k

I traded my 16 base eco AT for a 16 premium GT AT a few months ago. This is my first American V8. My eco had an intake for the whoosh noises, intercooler, and a tune. I gotta say it did feel more torqeuy around town and in stop and go. I think its just the hit of that instant spool. It was a great car.

On the other hand I think its one of the worst sounding 4 cylinders there is, which is why I never even thought about getting an exhaust for it.

I've always loved the sound of the Coyote and find I hardly turn up the radio anymore :). I've put a mishi intake elbow with drop in filter, tru x pipe, roush axle back, and tune on it so far. I think I'll be quite content with this for a while.

I debated this when I first started thinking about a Mustang. I didn't want to finance and my price point had me at a few year old GT or a hardly used EcoBoost. I wanted the perks of the Premium package and still be able to customize a bit. After a test drive my decision was easy. A few months later and I love this car. It's fun, gets up and goes like I still can't believe, and I had enough money to customize a bit. I still feel I made the right choice for me.

just imagine what it would actually handle like with the FRPP Track suspension bolted on. Both my GT/PP and EB/PP promptly got the chassis/IRS and diff fixes applied and improved significantly.
