I have a 2016 Ecoboost that has been running fine. Last week I started it and backed out of my driveway and it died. It wouldn’t restart, it just cranked. It set in the street, I kept trying to start it until I run the battery down. The next morning I jumped the battery and it started. I drove it around for about 30 minutes, then parked. The next morning I drove it about 35 miles to work and it ran fine. That afternoon when I started home it ran aboit two minutes and died. I had it towed home so I could try to figure out what is going on. If I let it set awhile, it starts and immediately dies.

Sounds like battery issue or alternator. Seems like car is just running on the battery. Check the voltage with engine off them check battery voltage
Shoukd becaf least 12.5.then start car check voltage again shoukd be at least 14. That's alternator output
Or bring it to auto zone and they'll check charging system

From your symptoms my first thought is fuel related. When you open the car door do you hear the fuel pump pressurize? You can check fuel pressure at the rail. Also your car has two fuel pumps. One in the tank that you can access under the back seat. And a second, high pressure, pump on the engine towards the back. Again, your symptoms make me think fuel pump.
As for the battery, they can cause all kinds of problems but, to me, your symptoms don't really fit that. However, you do need to fully charge the battery and keep it charged while doing any troubleshooting.

It’s not the battery. It cranks quite awhile before the battery dies. Im wondering if it could be the fuel pressure sensor.

I don't know the answer to that question. I do know EBs had issues with that sensor causing a lean condition. Whether it can cause symptoms like yours, IDK.
I do know that if you want to find the problem you need to troubleshoot the car. The first thing to do is to determine if you have the correct fuel pressure at the rail. Firing the parts cannon is iffy at best. Sure, you might get lucky but you can just as easily, probably more so, spend big bucks and never hit the target.

It can throw a code without turning on the check engine light. For example mine is throwing a P008A "low fuel pressure system pressure too low" and not a CEL... yours could be too. Plug an OBDII code reader into it and see if it is showing any codes.

Exactly, troubleshooting!
Question for you, have you checked to see what your fuel pressure actually is?

If you are asking me and not the OP, mine went down to 42psi at one point during a datalogging session; I don't know at what psi it triggers the code. It was usually staying in the 50's range and only rarely got up to 70 psi or thereabouts. I posted another thread on here last week asking what the lowside fuel pressure readings should be but it was never answered. I still don't know what the pressure should be; only that it triggered that code.

My tuner is Ryan at PD/now EMS and he suggested I install a DW400 fuel pump to see if that helps.

I hope my issue is not derailing the OP thread but it may be related to his problem too.

Yes, you. From what I've read fuel pressure from the in tank pump should be 50-60psi and the high pressure pump boosts it to 1600psi.

I just hope the OP goes about his problem logically.

So it is fuel related. Something going on with the fuel pump. Possibilities are a fuse, a relay, wiring issue, dying fuel pump or issues with the ECM. I'd check for fuses and relays first. I don't know if they are discreet on these cars or integrated into a module. Easiest way is probably to pull the back seat base and check the connectors for voltage. Since your problem has seemed to be intermittent I'm going to make a WAG that it's the pump going out. I caution against just buying a pump - they're expensive - without doing some proper troubleshooting first.
As an aside, it's best to have half a tank or less of fuel before you pull the pump.
