I have a friend with an EB premium and I have a 17 base GT. I thoroughly respect the EB but even before I added FI not once did I wish I could trade for his, even if his were new. If I had a long commute everyday it would change the equation a bit but I love my car mostly for the engine so wouldn’t do it.

but many on the EB side love theirs as well. If I were you I would drive this or other EBs (rent one if you’re going auto) several times to make sure it makes you happy. Is it a HPP?

Yes, it is Performance package, so my steeda rotors will fit.

Only reason I'm even thinking about it is mine is out of warranty and I'm getting more in trade than I paid for the car.

If there has been no major change in your lifestyle as far as commute and insurance, I can’t find any reason to justify going from a 17 GT to a 20 eco.

Keep it and wait for the S650.

That is without negotiating. They sent me an offer letter saying they would give me 28,000 in trade. So I went to the dealer to see if it was legit, it is.

Well if you do make the trade. I doubt a ranger intake manifold is going to do you any good.:wink:Just sayin.

Based on some of the really fast and modified EB Mustangs that I’ve read about and watched videos on, I wouldn’t be opposed to getting into one at all, especially if I knew I had big plans to make it run with or past some GT’s. I say do it if you want and throw all $5K at it in performance mods!

If they offered me my car and give me 5K I would have traded. They want 33K for the boost.

Your justification is so wrapped around the deal and how great it is. But you’re here and obviously an enthusiast and you’re talking about a big change in your Mustang experience. I think you should be willing to lose the deal while you drive the car a bunch and make sure it’s going to satisfy long term.

if you you’re interested in modifying have you considered going FI? You’ve already got a great platform for that and any regret at losing the “deal” will vanish at the first hit....

You may be getting more on trade than you paid for the car, but you'll instantly lose that when you buy the EB. EB holds its value terribly. From a financial perspective this isn't worthwhile.

You would enjoy the creature comforts and more extensive electronics.
You will miss the V8 power. To make the EB perform anywhere close to the V8 you will likely have to void the engine warranty and push the engine to the edge of reliability.

I traded my 18 EB Premium for a 19 GT Premium for one reason. The sound of the Coyote engine. The EB was a great car but the engine sound even with exhaust upgrades just didn't cut it for me.
