  1. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

It probably took about 30 min. It really didn't siphon well as the heights were too much the same. I needed to keep pumping and I tried different hoses a couple times. No rushing around. I probably over thought the whole deal but it sure was nice to not really have any spilling issues at all.
  2. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

Well finally got the GT fuel pump changed out. I got the nose up about 12" higher then the rear. Leaned towards passenger side too a little. Drilled a hole into the top of the pump as high as possible. The pump hat sits at a pretty heavy angle downward. The gas level was exactly to the top...
  3. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

I and the Ford tech checked everything pretty good. Even changed the fuel control module. I checked voltage at the pump connector and I'm getting 12v the entire time its turning over. No pump sound and the fuel line is dry now. I then connected 12v directly to the fuel pump and no pumping...
  4. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

Yep I actually plan to drift the car back to a Stoney part of my driveway that slopes off. Nose and driver's side up. It should help a bit. I have tried a few hits on the tank and top of the pump while trying to start the car. I then connected a 12v battery directly to the pump and hit on the...
  5. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

Oh I'll promise you I am overthinking it somewhat. I'm usually all about spending a bit more time to be extra cautious. This picture is what started my concern. He claims this happened with 5 gal in his tank and removing the pump. I have 15 gal. With the tank split into 2 sides, it still...
  6. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

This is what I'm trying to figure out. Some research talks about a roll over valve at the tank connection. If you try and get past it I could screw it up somehow. I was so hopeful someone had direct knowledge that the connector for the neck at the tank is just a straight thru hole. Even my Ford...
  7. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

The tank is full other then maybe a gallon less. I've seen video and pictures with guys having less then half tank and pond of gas flowing under the car from front to rear from removing the pump. All articles say less then half full. I don't care about the current pump in the car. It's dead. I...
  8. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

The problem is my pump is completely dead and the car won't run or pump out anything. I just want to get about 3 to 4 gallon out of the driver side of the tank to be lower then the top of the hat. I do have a Ford service tech coming to help with this. I'm looking to extract from a sealed tube...
  9. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

Definitely trying to minimize any risks of fire. My plan is a rubber tube slipped over and clamped to the drill bit with only 1/4" of the bit actually sticking out. As the tip breaks thru it will seal the hole right away too. Then pop the snug hose in quick. Then take my time and siphon out.
  10. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

I'm only looking to get enough out of my tank to be below the pump mounting surface. My pump is dead and will not run at all and I'm at about full tank. I've read conflicting reports. A guy on here with a GT350 used the supplied fullen and a hose and siphoned out for his generator. Alldata...
  11. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

Thanks! As far as you know are the top flaps that the funnel opens the only flaps? I wasn't sure if there was another flap or something where the neck mounts to the tank spout.
  12. Can I siphon out gas thru the fill neck?

My fuel pump is dead on my 16 Gt. And of course I am about fully full other than a gallon or 2. I would really like to get as much out of the tank before loosening up the pump ring. I have heard that I can use the supplied fill funnel and send a 5/8 tube down and siphon out. Is there a flap...
  13. 16 Gt automatic trans tuning question

I have 93 vmp and PBD tunes. Not that I was too surprised, there was no noticable power gains other than it feels better because of jumpy throttle now. But I am looking for better transmission characteristics. The PBD was like damaging harsh and not so sure it didn't cause a driveline...
  14. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

While doing the data logs flat out it I was just collecting data between different tunes. I do love the top end rush of the car. But I would trade a little of that for more torque. That is when I did find out very very little difference in the tuning of a stock car. Very little help in torque or...
  15. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

I do agree above that in 1st, 2nd and even most of third if ok with the power. Certainly 1st and 2nd are plenty. 3rd could use a little more grunt but If I give plenty of throttle at low to mid RPM its ok. The problem lies with the rest of the gears. There is no way higher rpms will help. Heavy...
  16. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

Certainly been thinking about more rear gearing. We'll see.
  17. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

There are plenty of times I would just rather the go and not look or sound like a goon driving around causing attention at 7000rpm. Sure I hit a few back road runs and have some fun and love the sound and feel at redline. But that is literially a couple minutes a week. Then being an automatic...
  18. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

Yeah, I started my supercharger fund. I'll see how that goes in the next year or 2. It just can be a costly adventure with the extras of the OPG and even crank supports too. And then I wonder if it will be too much power to feel comfortable doing a few back blitz's. We'll see, sure do love the...
  19. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

Absolutely I am focusing on daily driving. I literially drive at least 99% of my time under 6700 RPM. In my case I really only have one gear that the truck intake would hurt, 2nd gear. I don't drive my car over 100mph so from 3rd gear on I will never use the power above 6700rpm. Why is so hard...
  20. Model year 18 and up F150 manifold VS GT 350 Manifold

In my case I very very seldom go to 7000 rpm. Many days without hitting redline. But I drive a lot from 2000 to 4000. I really like the curve of the truck. It make more power (25 hp, 35 tq) most of the curve more then the GT manifolds all the way to 6700rpm. Honestly for the street I don't even...
