I read his post wrong 🤣🤣
Lund is no longer (if ever) the "go to". Lund was doing good things 5-7 years ago, but like all other tuning shops that got too big, customer service and quality shit the bed.

Read that. One of many, there are pro Lund guys here and not so pro Lund guys. Make up your own mind.

Nothing to see there but I did just come across the Beefcake thread. Too bad. Good thing my tune works good and I'm not doing any more mods to the engine. I guess when you're out of the game things are liable to change. I always reviewed my data logs after doing a tune to make sure everything is running copasedic.

last week was my first E85R tune from Juggernaut.
i filled up with a solid tested 85. datalogged the idle for 10 minutes, then proceeded to datalog the cruise home via surface streets. i stopped at a store on the way home, upon my return that car would crank, but not start...i tried 3x. i flashed it back to the flex tune and it started right up. Juggernaut said to go back to the E85R tune and try again, the next couple of starts were a bit long, then the starting was fine.
last night, i went to fill up again after work and the same thing happened after stopping at the store. got it started by going to the flex tune.
Juggernaut is not open this week.

any E gurus know what's going on?
yes, you just want to make sure your data log the start up start datalog and before you start and just send it over

If you ever get stuck try unplugging maf. Not good to run the car for long like that and don't get the rpm over about 2,500, and keep throttle very light. Car uses different calculations when maf is unplugged and it may let the car start. Not sure if you can just plug it back in after starting or if the car wants you to cycle before it goes off of maf again.

Hot cranking vs cold cranking will also be different. Im no tuner but I think they use different tables. I've had issues before where car would start fine cold but would crank forever when hot.

Try data logging a completely cold start and a warm start so juggernaut has the data. Im sure they will tell you what they want as well.

this crank/no start situation has happened twice under the same exact circumstances on the E85R tune.

1. tanked up with E85
2. drove about 15 minutes and shut the car off for 5 minutes
3. crank, but no start
4. loaded flex tune and started right up

the next day after the first occurrence i loaded up the 85R tune and it cranked for a couple of seconds or so and started and i had decent starts from that point on, until i need to tank up again.

Unfortunately since you’re paying someone else to tune your car, your hands are pretty much tied. I’m 99% sure I could fix this in 10 minutes if you tuned yourself.
For right now, I'm just reporting my situation. The first thing Jon will see from me when he returns back to work is my E85R WOT logs. Then I will tell him it happened again.
