Hey y'all,

I finally got my E85R tune from Lund ready to go, and the data logs all checked out, but I have a few questions (sorry if they've been asked before).

1. I've heard that E85 is corrosive over time on the internal rubber and plastic parts, has this been an issue for people? Is it recommended to go on the flex tune time to time, to just put regular gasoline in to help against corrosion?

2. I have a few 5 gallon fuel jugs filled with E85 in the garage, how long can it sit? I've heard not to let it sit for too long, in the car as well.

3. My car happens to be my daily driver, is there any other specific recommended mods to add? I have a 2018 Manual GT, and it's mostly stock besides; exhaust, JLT catch can, Steeda suspension, MGW shifter, K&N filter, etc.

4. I was also expecting some crackles and pops, but it doesn't sound any different than it did before with 91 gas. Do I need better aftermarket mufflers for that? (currently just have a muffler delete and x-pipe). I plan on keeping my cats, but I know it'd help if I had some LTH or cat deletes.

5. I've also heard oil changes are required to be done sooner with E85? Usually I do them every 5k, but I've heard every 3-4k now, yes? Still running 5W-30 Royal Purple too.

Thanks for any feedback and help!

1. False
2. Sealed, indefinitely.
3. You're good for a DD
4. Yep, straight through mufflers will do it. LUND doesn't do Rice Krispy tunes
5. What does royal purple say about it ?

As for question 3, my mods are similar to yours.

I just switched to E-85 recently, one mod I want to do is an inline ethanol sensor. My Ngauge does not accurately read alcohol %, even after KAM resets it reads low. Manually testing fuel is a big PITA. Looking at Innovate MTX-D or Zeitronix sensors. I've read these sensors can be connected and read by the Ngauge or you can use the supplied gauge, or use both. Doesn't appear to difficult to do, either.

Been running e using flex tune in my 18 dd for over 2 years. Every few months will do a tank of 91. No issues.

I know guys over here in Oz who have been on 85r for 3 or more years, and have never swapped back.

No damage to the engine or internals
