Dyno plug question?

I wanted to see if anyone has had the same idea or tried something that worked for the dyno plug. So what I was thinking of doing is splicing into the looped wire and run a toggle switch into the cab of my car so that switch would now function as an on/off switch instead of needing to unplug the dyno plug. In my head it should work but just figured id see if anyone has already tried this and what the results were incase im missing something. Thanks in advance

The ONLY way to turn ALL , Nannie’s off is the plug…. Other wise they are in the background doing shit.
And yes it’s just a loop. So put a switch on it and your back to old school NO help or hindrance

The old dyno plug....I can say with certainty, holding the button for 6 seconds does in fact turn everything off in my car. I know of a couple other cars where holding the button works identical to pulling the dyno plug. It seems like it is very car specific.

I also think there is some differences in use case. I think it may be more of an issue at a drag strip than at the track too. If I was only on city streets, I wouldn't consider pulling it.

If you go and cut the loop and install a switch, I recommend you use shielded twisted pair cable. Ground the shield drain wire to the chassis. This will prevent any electrical noise from getting coupled in to the circuit.
