  1. I may have to trade her in or sell. It’s killing me.

That’s essentially what I did. I was able to get what I wanted for the GT350 and just got a used 4 door sedan with low mileage. I will use it for 3-4 years until the kid grows ups a bit and can get himself into and out of a backseat.
  2. I may have to trade her in or sell. It’s killing me.

That is exactly what is happening. My gut is saying now is the time. While the car guy side of me is crying at getting rid of the GT350. I am in a unique position. I stand to inherit a fairly large estate in a few years. If I want another GT350 in 5 years, I can get one. Even if the prices go...
  3. I may have to trade her in or sell. It’s killing me.

Im trying. I would rather cut my arm off than get rid of this car. I had always pictured keeping it forever. But then again I never planned on having a kid. That just came out of nowhere and im scrambling. Im a meme at this point. The middle age guy having to get rid of his sports car for a...
  4. I may have to trade her in or sell. It’s killing me.

Like the title says. I have reached a decision point. A few things have converged making the GT350 not too optimal for me. 1. I had free overtime for the last 3 years. I was working 70-80hour weeks every single week since then. I work from home on a laptop sitting on my ass. Long hours aren’t...
  5. Windshield cracked for no reason?

I looked at that but when I rubbed my finger on it; there is no impact on the outside. And I have never seen a rock impact crack a window in parking lot months later. It made the cracking sound again today and the crack lengthened. I watched it happen. It’s bizarre. Climbing into the car is...
  6. Windshield cracked for no reason?

For the past few months, when I would get into the car and first start moving, I would hear a loud crack from the dashboard area. Sounded like plastic flexing and shifting. I figured it was the heat and the chassis flexing a bit when I first get in causing the dashboard to shift. It happened...
  7. Question about manual transmission in 2018 GT.

Things aren’t supposed to thunk when you come out of one gear into another. The tranny in the GT350 is rifle bolt precise. Click, click, click. Mine does pop out of first every now and then. That’s about it as far as weird behavior. Have you driven it hard? Sounds like something is out of...
  8. Poll: Is a GT500 an upgrade over a GT350?

Depends on who you ask. If I could get the GT500 in stick I would definitely call it an upgrade. I could have had a dozen faster cars, but manual was non negotiable. In my price range, for a manual, there isn’t anything better than the GT350.
  9. GT350 or Mach 1?

You need to drive a GT350 before deciding. This car is special. Very special. I could describe it all day but until you wind this thing out on a curvy road you won’t get the whole picture. It is a different animal.
  10. Don’t stop checking your oil.

Congratulations. That is my dream. I dream about Fathouse kits or centrifugal. it’s much harder to build your dream car when you aren’t single. When I got the car and started modifying it, I was single. I got wheels on a whim. I had discretionary income out the ass Now I got a girl and...
  11. Don’t stop checking your oil.

Normal is hard to say. Because some cars never burn oil and some do from day one. As far as I know, among the cars that regularly burn oil, 1-2 quart every 4K miles is the average. There are outliers that burn up to 3, but I can only recall 1 person telling me that. I do think driving patterns...
  12. Don’t stop checking your oil.

I know this is old news, but I had an experience that reinforces the oil burning possibility of this engine. I got 40k miles on the car and never had to add more than a splash of oil between changes. Less than a 1/4 of a bottle. Honestly I didn’t even need to do that. It was just slightly low...
  13. Official: 2026 Dark Horse SC makes 790hp

Huh? It’s not a hard concept to grasp. I’m not spending 100k on a mustang GT. It doesn’t have to be a “Shelby”. It can be a ford GT350. Or a Ford GT500. is that easy to grasp Copernicus?
  14. Official: 2026 Dark Horse SC makes 790hp

I am one of those. For the amount of money, I want something that isn’t just a Mustang GT. That’s good enough for me. It could be a Ford GT350 and I would be happy. Doesn’t have to be a Shelby. If I’m gonna lay out 100k for a Mustang, it better be a GT500. I have zero brand excitement for a...
  15. Rear spring hat/cushion

Ugh. Always such a pain in the ass tracking down suspension clunks. I haven’t been able to reproduce what movement is causing it. Even when I hit a bump and it happens, if I go backwards and try to make it happen again, it won’t. I’m glad it’s not some catastrophic problem, but it’s still damn...
  16. Official: 2026 Dark Horse SC makes 790hp

That is the problem. The Z06 is too good. Im gonna has to get one someday. It’s a monster.
  17. 2018 With a Replacement Engine

If the work was done properly, why not? New engine is a new engine. As good as this car is, if I didn’t have one, I would be scrambling to get one. Run the air conditioner and listen for a whine or howl. The compressors on these go bad all the time. I think they cannot handle the crazy RPM...
  18. Rear spring hat/cushion

I have a clunking from passenger rear when in uneven parking lots. I’m lowered on FP springs. Sounds like the little rubber isolator on the top of the spring is mushed and now the spring is jiggling. Can you get to that spring hat without dropping the entire rear subframe? I’m hoping my guy...
  19. Recaro Seat Repair advice

Son of a bitch. How the hell did the guy break that? You would think if you were big enough that you are sitting ON the thigh bolster and snapping the side one off that you would get the leather seat package instead. I’m gonna end up needing to get a damn seat.
  20. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Tried out Turtle Wax Hybrid Graphene Flex Wax. Fantastic stuff. A tiny bit goes a long way. Phenomenal gloss. Not as warm a look as normal wax. Water beading 7/10.
