Long live loud and aggressive. :champagne: [/QUOTE said:
I can attest to Greg’s quote having heard his Beast… his exhaust makes my GT350 sound as quiet as a Tesla with an X-Pipe.

I was just curious, as I remember it was a must be stop to change. Fixed that last year, dumped the AE, for Roush cat backs.

Long live loud and aggressive. :champagne:
Agree. Used to be. Not sure when it changed. I was surprised when I tried it on the '21 and it worked. Go figure

I'm wondering how many of the respondents have manual transmissions.

I just love listening to these cars. I have a loud exhaust, but drive modestly around town. Still, except on long freeway drives, I don't let music drown out the exhaust. Even when I start up early in quiet mode, I switch to track when I get down the street. (When I notice a cop behind me, I surreptitiously switch to normal.)
My gtcs is a manual. Quiet mode until 9am then it switched to normal.

Till I did the H pipe, I could cope with track mode on the highway. No way now. Tried it at 85 ...... Not !

I ordered Active Exhaust specifically for quiet mode. Not for me, but for my wife, so she will ride in the car. She'll enjoy it with me if it's quiet. She'll hate it if it's loud; we have already proven that with Flowmaster, MBRP and Borla exhausts over the years.

Quiet mode start up 24/7 since I have catless LTH with corsa xtremes. Quiet mode makes it sound like stock. Soon as I'm out the neighborhood, I put it in normal or sport.

back in the late 70's I ran Hush Thrush mufflers on my 68 FB.....man did they drone on the highway. Gave me a headache and took the fun out of driving. Glad I ordered my GT/CS with active valve exhaust. It's a pleasure to drive daily, even in normal. Not too radical. Still haven't played with sport or track yet.....trying to stay stealthy 😀

Only in quiet mode when leaving for work in morning. After 9am it’s back in normal. Haven’t played around with sport or track yet. Don’t want any extra attention 😁
Same here.
It's set up 9pm-8am to be in quiet mode. Used to live in a suburb and just kept it when moving to the country, because even then I don't want to be "that" guy when commuting.
MyMode is set to track exhaust though, because I enjoy it and I don't think it's that annoying to others during the day, although I never drive behind my car (with a few exceptions), so not sure how loud it really is.

Sounds great when I was actually on a track and passing by the guy I asked to record for me...

No AE here but it's interesting to read what you guys have yours all set to. My neighborhood is super quiet till 5am when I leave for work. X pipe and Steeda axel backs sound amazing! I also leave the auto rev match to do it's thing and downshift into second as I slow to every light. I don't drive like an ass but I don't care what anyone else thinks about my exhaust. It's not super loud and all my neighbors approved before I scrapped the stock mufflers. If my 2nd gear downshift bothers someone, they can suck it. Pretty sure I'm near the line of acceptable vs obnoxious but I'm not racing off unless it's a good time/place. Co worker sleeps in his car at lunch, those rare days I get some fast food, I try to creep by him when I park. Also at idle after the cold start settles down, it's barely louder than stock if at all. I get the not wanting attention, sometimes I do want it lol.

I have never used "Quiet Mode", as living in the country has its perks. All our neighbors say the car sounds so nice that they want me to leave it in "Sport Mode". Works for me.

Soooooooo everything is peaceful until you start up?
Yep, but only for a few seconds before the cold start calms down. The Steeda axel backs are loud when you get on it and semi civil at idle. Still a little hard to creep around though. My car only warms up long enough for me to back out of the driveway and walk through the house to get in and go. Still no garage door opener but don't really want one.
