What's the difference between the RED & BLACK bushings ?

I ran red, then switched to black. Could not tell the difference either in firmness or sound.
I chose black for most support, plus I wanted more diff whine!

BMR's 'black' replacements are delrin, yes. Basically no different than straight-up aluminum. Their pucks (only come in red) are Shore 95.

Steeda's black pucks are PU. Just harder material than the Red. Somewhere I have the specs. I think red was Shore 85, Black was 90 or 95.

Whiteline's pucks (and replacements) are Shore 70 if memory serves.

Yeah, it was a bit of a challenge to do working alone. I installed my entire differential bushing kit, along with the differential bracket kit at the same time. I did drop the cradle, in order to work comfortably.

Red bushings are made of a softer material. These are usually what people use, who are concerned about NVH, although the black ones aren’t bad at all. With everything I have done to my car, the NVH is about a 2 or 3 out of 10.

How much do I want as in (are my red ones for sale)? If that’s what you meant, I don’t even know where they are right now. They’re in one of the many boxes that I’ve packed up over the last few weeks.

@WildHorse, you’re probably gonna want the black ones to get the rear as stiff as possible (short of going with full aluminum inserts).

There may be several people on here that used their red ones and have the black ones up for sale. Maybe try making a post to see who has some available.

I plan to go with PowerFlex Black series when i swap out my diff. I like that it fills in the slots rather than compress like the popular puck style.

Sorry we have really got our wires crossed … lol

I bought a ‘full’ set from across the pond. I used the red inserts. I made replacement spacers and sold the black inserts with everything to fit them.

You could potentially pick up a set of spare inserts (cheaply) from someone over there.

You would need bolts (easy to source), and a duplicate set of spacers to make up the kit to fit them.

I can help you with the size of the spacers you will need to have made (just shout up)
