Hi
anyway the clutch can be adjusted ?.
have a lot of slop on the clutch.

imagine I’m riding the clutch in 1st in traffic it will clunk and jolt when pressing down on the clutch.

clutch is fine but just feels out of adjustment because it’s a bit Snatchy.

thanks

The only thing you can do with a hydraulic clutch to take up some of the excess pedal slop is to install a clutch pedal stop (easiest) or install a Ram clutch height adjuster (more difficult install, in that you will have to open the clutch system which will require bleeding the system afterward). If your brake/clutch fluid is dirty, then this would be a good time to flush it and refill with fresh fluid.

Looking at what you’ve added to the clutch pedal have you also noticed the car is a bit jerky?.
espcially at low rpm’s ?.

Yes, but that’s because I have an aftermarket cerametallic clutch which is basically either on or off. It takes some getting used to that’s for sure.

Do you ever have regrets of not getting an Auto ?.
I keep contemplating to sell my Bullitt for an auto GT but something keeps stopping me

No! I love shifting gears and for me, it’s even more challenging to drag race a manual transmission car. Not taking anything away from the auto cars because they do roll out! I guess if I was seriously competing and not just pursuing some personal goals with the car then I probably would have an auto.

If you enjoy rowing your own gears, even if it’s just a street driven car, stay with the Bullitt. I had a street driven FBO auto Fox Body GT with a shift kit in the tranny and I got bored with it very quickly.

Yeh it’s not a daily
Just a fun car and I think I would get bored quickly from an auto.

the clutch stop you have is a great idea. I only need to move the pedal about 2 inches to engage and disengage so this would be perfect.
I’m trying to find somewhere that sells them in Europe.
All the US places won’t send overseas

Quick question?.
Does the clutch stop affect the start button?.
because it would need to engage to start the engine ?.

It can, depending on how much you need to adjust it, but it’s an easy fix. I didn’t have to do this on mine, but I was prepared to remove the plastic button tab on my clutch pedal which presses the clutch switch to allow starting and install a button head screw with a jam nut on it to allow for proper adjustment like the factory.

There are several variations of the one I have that look exactly the same. I actually think they’re being manufactured private label for different companies.

I know the feeling in the pedal you describe. I installed the steeda clutch spring and swapped the plastic fluid line with braided stainless. Made a big difference to me in pedal feel and engagement. More predictable, less jerky at low rpm.

I didn’t get on well with the spring.
It did make the clutch more linear but it was a pig to use in traffic. Much more stiff.

I like the idea of the clutch pedal stopper device that’s attached to the clutch pedal.
I can literally only need to press the clutch about half way down and it’s disengaged.
It may well help for slow traffic rpm’s.
I would need to extend the engine start sensor though because that requires me to press the clutch all the way

Also just got delivery of the pedal extender so I can have the seat further back.

also ordered some ae exhaust deletes and the flaps stay open all the time now with no check engine lights

You need two things!
#1 is a different line from the clutch master to the clutch slave, as @paulm1 already suggested.
https://hotpart.com/product/jm-prod...-steel-clutch-hose-for-2015-present-mustangs/

#2 could be the choice of another support spring on the clutch pedal.
I didn't like the Steeda spring either, way too little support.
Currently I have a spring with 97 lbs/in installed, that is good for daily driving and in terms of the force midway between OEM and Steeda, but am thinking of changing to a spring with 124 or 131 lbs/in order to have again little less effort in stop & go traffic.
Sodemann from Denmark supplies these springs.
