If any of you with the base model are upgrading your cooling systems to install the transmission and oil coolers, can you please let me know. I need the left and right fog light mesh block-off air deflector plates.

Well my splitter LOOKED fine, but in hindsight, I should have just taken it off and installed it myself. The front of it detached from the fascia at high speed and proceeded to destroy itself against the asphalt in short order.
Can you determine if the dealer used all the fasteners?

Shouldn't it be free, since it was installed by the dealer?
Sad to say, but probably depends on the dealer. Dealer might argue there is no way for them to know whether it had been bumped on a curb, speed bump, etc.

I had the same thing happen to my car. At a higher rate of speed, my splitter came loose and was obliterated. At this point Ford is refusing to pay to change it due to the dealer failing to install it correctly. The dealer says that the part is back ordered till at least 3/21. They also said that there are over 400 of them on back order. The part is nearly $500.

Ford is refusing to pay, so the dealer will pay or you have to?

At this point, it will be the dealer that has to pay since they installed it improperly. The dealer is fighting with Ford at this point saying they installed it correctly. It's been over three weeks now and I can't even drive my car. Somehow this is worse than when I was waiting for the car!

Tank you. I know that.

I was asking that person if they could make a determination on them after the splitter came off their car at high speed. If the "45 degree" screws weren't used that would explain why it detached.

Mine was installed incorrectly. If you watch the video and look at how the splitter fits into the fascia, there is no way it can come out without either unscrewing a lot of screws or completely ripping the fascia apart.

It would take a serious impact for sure. I had to remove mine mid install to retrieve a screw. It took some elbow grease to separate the center section from the fascia.

I asked my dealer to not install the splitter. I plan to do it myself once it is delivered to me in CA. Can you point me to the video? Or do I have to ask the dealer for it?
