I know that a machine is supposed to torque the lug nuts, but a few of mine were way too tight. So tight in fact that the lug nut itself distorted and would barely fit into my socket. I had to use my jack handle over my ratchet to break several of them loose. The right rear was the worst. It will be easy to tell if you have an issue with out even loosening the nut. Just see if your 13/16" socket will slide freely over the nut.

Just FYI...

EDIT: This car actually uses a 21mm socket instead of a 13/16" socket. If your smart (not like me) you would use the correct socket and not have any issues. This appears to have been me screaming WOLF! I was mistaken. :/

Interesting.

As for your ratchet, you broke them loose with just a good ole 1/2" ratchet.....or you were using a breaker bar? If you were breaking them loose with a standard ratchet, you are a beast. 140+ftlbs is tight.

3/8" ratchet, 11" long... I started with my Snap-On electric impact and it REFUSED to work. lol

Mine came off no problem, but they were tight. 150 ft/lbs is no joke!

I was there in my '12 car. I'm sorry I missed you.
I'll catch you next time, crazy that I didn't see you while I was out there (picture is from one of my FB friends)

I'm told the actual size for the socket is 21mm with is slightly larger than 13/16. It's possible that the lugs are not distorted and are actually within spec. My dealer is verifying and will let me know this afternoon. Ten of twenty lugs fit perfectly. I had issues with all on the left front and all on the right rear.

Mine were mostly around 120 from the factory.....still think 150 is pretty stout for lugs.......going with ~140 for now.
