They’ve got a whole bevy of interior CF pieces for the mustang and GT500 now. My main concern about their wing is the mount base. I’m not a fan of the style they represent in their picture (even if it says it’s not the finished product). The screw on end plates are meh but I understand the desire to change them.
I understand. I know it says that the picture is not the actual product however I do wish they gave a better idea of the final product. I guess we will wait and see

Here’s an update on my order situation:
- On 26 April, AC told me I was #21 on their list and they were making ~5/month. Hoping to be more efficient the following months.
- On 29 June, they told me my order should ship by the end of July.

Progress!

Received notice from AC, Lethal and the shipping company that my wing is on the way. Estimated 22 July delivery.
Will contact AIT for pick-up.
Good luck and all the best Don. I hope it works out.

Besides AC, does anyone else make this with the dogbones?

You can buy the dog bones aftermarket. The mounts are another story.

Well, after a good scare on the packaging part:

And yes, there were 8 “Fragile” stickers. I guess people can’t read.

We opened at the shipper’s office, and everyone was relieved:

No obvious contact or damage.

After a slow unwrapping, wing was flawless:

Congratulations. What a wait and relief. Have a spare trunk already for it?

Thanks. Almost 9 months from order to delivery.
I bought a new trunk and had it painted in December. Been sitting in the garage since.

I like to disassemble things.
My 2nd go round wasn't without a similar scare.

I picked mine up from the shipper just to reduce the odds that additional hands on the box would likely cause or add to any damage. As I approached the guy on the shipping dock with a "you gotta be fucking kidding me look" he was already apologizing. He said that with fuel prices being so high that trucks are showing up packed to the hilt like never before. As a result they are seeing more damage than ever before. He said they can't keep good people and that nobody gives a shit anymore.

That could have been a disaster. Why do they keep shipping stuff without adequate protection? Don, glad it worked out. Tob was the first casualty, and based upon what I see, there will be more.

For what they are charging AC should be packing those boxes with the expandable foam bags like you’d get when you buy a turbo kit or intake manifold. At least they were nice enough to use a double-walled support on the inside.

Glad to see both of ya got your wings!

I know, you'd think they would use some spray foam or something.

IIRC the way that OEM wings ship are with foam cutouts on each end and its double boxed.

Wrapping it in bubble wrap and throwing it in a box is unsat. The pressure points of impact are the end plates as well as the wing mounting points. Those areas need to be protected from the gorillas who handle these boxes.

I forget who said it, but nobody seems to give a crap. I dont think AC does based upon the packaging. Most likely because they have shipping insurance to fall back on. They will ask you get the saw out to take pictures for the shipping insurance.

Again, glad it worked out for Don.
