Overall I’m extremely happy with the quality of the wing. Packaging was done extremely well and the shipping company also did a hellva job, i.e. the box had absolutely no damage. The weave is straight/uniform with no defect at any of the transitions. The finish is glossy with no haze except my fingerprints. In the areas you outlined are not blemishes, just reflections. I took a picture that shows the drain holes on the bottom side and it showed the same jacked up reflection. I had to do a double take.
Glad to hear it. I'm looking forward to future deliveries. Now, tell me about the mounts. They look just like my CF mounts on the oem wing. Are these mounts aluminum? I read that they were. I also notice the foam incorporated into the base to prevent water seepage into the holes. Please give me your impression on them.

I like to disassemble things.
A high resolution camera in daylight conditions will be needed to really get a good impression of the overall quality.
This is killing me. Mine can't get here soon enough.

I do have 1 question (Not trying to be a debbie downer), but I just went to AC's website just to look and pics and pricing out of curiosity and I noticed something in the description.

Please if I am wrong correct me, but last I checked the OEM wing is rated/tested for 170-180 MPH correct? If so is everyone aware that AC has theirs rated on their site for 130+MPH? Just wanted to warn anyone who might not have seen this on their site.

The mounts on the AC wing are a exact copy of the OEM CF mounts, but in aluminum. The mounts are machined out of a aluminum billet. I'm not sure what series of aluminum, but I would guess since this is a structural support and not cosmetic that it would be 6061-T6. However, there could be a possibility that it's 7000 series. Regarding fabrication I would assume that they are wire EDM, then finished in a 5-axis CNC, but its only a guess. I plan on sending AC a email in the morning just to see exactly what series of aluminum alloy is used. There was no defects in the powder coat finish... surface has the gloss black finish. The dog bone brackets are machined from aluminum and are a exact replica of the OEM dog bone brackets. If you lined up a OEM mount next to the AC mount the only difference you see would be on a scale... in general density of CF is roughly 1.7x less than aluminum. I give them 2 thumbs up.

Yes, the oem wing is rated for (and I repeatedly go) 180mph. The AC wing was tested to 130. If we have any engineers on this site, the support strength could be calculated. If the support is 6061 T6, I would say it would be as strong as the multimatic version, and that has been track tested at higher speeds on a regular basis. The question is though, what is it made from?

I can't tell from the photos, they are too dark. Is there a weld between the station and the base on the mounts, or is it a single piece of bullet aluminum?

These are single billet Al mounts. No weldment here.

The mounts are two-piece aluminum, welded at the base.
I stand corrected. Are they laser, EB, or TIG welded? The fillet radius looks like the finish from a end mill and not a weld bead. Granted the mount is powder coated, but they looked monolith to me.

That's interesting as I brought up what I thought I saw in an earlier post...

The response from AC to the above was "Our bases are single-piece, non welded CNC machined aluminum."

Were they two piece from the beginning then?

Its not like its a nuclear secret or anything. Either way would be solid. However, if it is two piece, I would not grind the weld down before powdercoat for the sake of aesthetics. I would want that weld to be as strong as possible. Besides, multimatic doesn't grind their weld down, they leave it as it is and as it should be.
