Yup. Somebody in here may be able to confirm but “Mustang Manny” either work for/with/ or is co-owner of MPR

he would have had to buy them off ebay or something. Nobody walks into a dealer and pays that price for a set. I just saw a set sell for 10K on ebay, maybe that was them.

He has had them since Nov 2020 lol. He works for Gaudin Ford in Las Vegas. Sells a lot of GTs in those parts so I'm assuming its one of the top dealerships on that side.

But I look forward to you guys getting your wings soon. Hopefully it was worth the wait and there aren't any issues.

Even dealer cost is crazy expensive for those wheels. And yes, I am familiar with his association with MPR. It is my understanding that MPR is tight with AC and that would explain why he has the wing so soon.

What I learned today is that what may be the only difference between the AC wing and stock is that there are no drain holes where the wing meets the side pieces. I know this is not a big deal at all, I just wanted to mention what I was told. What happens when washing the the car/wing, water can pool up across the whole wing before it reaches the point when it rolls off the rear edge. Not a big deal at all, and the price is great. There will be a lot of happy customers.

Yes, that's old hat. The reason is due to patent infringement. It is my understanding that the wing is otherwise identical. I happen to know someone who is getting one. Whether its Tob or whatever, lets hope its a quality product that is packaged and shipped in an appropriate manner.

MPR told me they lent AC the OEM spoilers for the GT350R and GT500 CFTP that they used to template their replicas. So it makes sense they would get first production output.

I spoke with Terrance @50 Deep and he could do the same but he need a wing to scan and model. Would be nice to have more than one company producing these since AC takes so long to make them. Now we just gotta find someone local to Sacramento to lend him an OEM CFTP wing for a bit! Any volunteers? 🤣

Whenever I get anything shipped to me I take the time to inspect the packaging used. It says a lot.

I think I've asked this before... why should I purchase the AR/MMR CFTP GT500 instead of a GT3 Wing like 9Lives, AR, AJ Hartman, Verus GT3, and etc?

OEM Fitment is the only benefit... I think the other wing providers offer more function tho.

Go!

Do you mean Verus? Verus Engineering has a new wing out that they designed to line up with the OEM 350R spoiler. So technically that is OE fitment if you were interested.

I guess it all depends on application of the car. I would think that if anybody here were running time trials or doing wheel to wheel, those other options would be on the car.

But I guess the actual owners can answer lol.
