They said you can wait if you would like the foam core. Also, Anderson Composites doesn’t have a foam and they were tested without the foam core👍

I’ll take without over waiting 4-5 mths
I doubt AC was actually tested lol. FFP did test theirs so I’d trust their wing over AC any day 🤣
Only other issue is they don’t come with a mounting template…I mean for the price you pay how hard is it to throw in a cardboard template? 🤷🏻‍♂️

What does the foam core bring to the table?
Provides a stiffer wing that resists flex from air pressure. For daily drivers it probably means nothing as long as the carbon fiber is of sufficient quality and thickness. For track applications it could mean a significant amount as far as how much downforce is provided and test end stability.

I tried to make a template, but realized I didn’t really need one. The dog bones determine where the holes are drilled. They only fit one way on each side.

The templates are very easy to make, and yes they only go one way, but unless you can see through metal you dont know where the holes line up, and its easier to create the template then be a blind man walking through a minefield.

I like to disassemble things.
Regardless of the method chosen I highly recommend using a spring loaded prick punch and a small drill bit (1/8" or so) once you have committed to drilling. That gives you a small amount of wiggle room if you need to make an adjustment before drilling to size.

Any actual user feedback on this Function Factory Performance GT500 CF Wing? Anyone? OR for that matter, user feedback on FFP and their CF products? Just curious as have never dealt with them. Thanks!

Their CF parts are Chinese made like most. I have a forged S-wing from them and it’s the same one offered by other vendors. I’ve also ordered their forged CFTP wing but it’ll be a couple months before I have it.

Thanks for that @Evolvd . So FFP tells you only 2 monthsout and it will come w/foam core? Didn't even see the forged CF option on site.

They said approximately 2 months but I always double that estimate when it comes to small-batch custom parts. They only offered 5 of them from what I was told and that’s the only 5 they’ll make in forged. The owner Charles did tell me they would come with foam core.

Their website says four of these in stock. But I've learned with a few industries here as of late, take that with a grain of salt.

Just got mine in on Saturday. The car is getting some stuff done to it so the wing shipped right to the body shop so I have not seen it in person yet.

See if they'll take a couple shots of the uprights before mounting them, more specifically the underside of the base of the upright.
