McKees 37 makes a great carbon ceramic graphene detailer spray that I was using and will use for maintenance. It does a fantastic job I think

I've heard great things about McKees products. I have multiple in my arsenal, gonna try each a few times and see which one I like best. My current favorite is Carpro Reload 2.0. I also have Koch Chemie S002, gonna try it next time. I use Carpro Hydro lite on my wheels, its a spray and rinse and it super easy. I just spritz on the wheels when I'm done cleaning and. they are still wet then rinse thoroughly with DI water, flawless every time.

There are a lot of good SiO2 maintenance products nowadays. I’ve been using Griot’s 3N1 ceramic spray. I’ve even used it on other cars as a stand-alone and it does very well.

We have all three of our vehicles ceramic coated (as well as PPF'd) and I maintain them now that the hard part of correction and application is done. These are the first ceramics I've had, and I'm truly a believer. They're literally always clean and if not, $1.00 at the quarter car wash, a 3-mile drive home, and some Adam's detail spray has them looking freshly detailed.

It's crazy thinking of using a wax or sealant nowadays-it's changed so much.
I first used opti-coat (one of the first coatings) back in ~2010 or whenever it was introduced. CQuartz was another early one. Heck ceramic sprays that you wipe on and off outperform even the best waxes and sealants from back then.

I’ve really struggled with the ceramic vs. wax based products thing and right now I’m just doing the was based stuff and mostly spray products at that. (I’m lazy and have some physical challenges as well.) I use almost exclusively Meguiar’s products and they work great for me. The lone exception to Meguiar’s stuff is Lucas Slick Mist Speed Wax. Good Lord what a product! My cars look like they’re about to cross the block at Barrett-Jackson!

But it’s only fair to point out that my cars are pretty day only toys and they get attended to the minute they get back home. I’m not under any delusion that this wouldn’t work for a DD. And, I’m wishy-washy and could change my mind at any time.

I should add that what put me off ceramic right away was the cost. It’s insane around here. Three years ago a complete ceramic job with PPF on the front and mirrors was $3800 !

Exactly. I also use the Meguairs Hybrid Ceramic and have been very happy with it on multiple cars/trucks. I've had my Mustang since March and put a coat on it when I washed it the first time. Here in SE TX the sun is hard on cars so it needs a new coat the next time I wash it. Wife's car is the same.

But, a new coat every 3 months (spray on dry, wipe off and quick buff) is so much easier than the Turtle Wax and foam pad of the past.

Yup, ceramics is pretty pointless imo. I chose PPF with inbuilt ceramic layer, with my nice-weather usage and parking under roof and covered, it'll last much much longer than 10 years warranty it has, and simple ceramics detailer spray once in a while is fully sufficient to boost it for few months (it makes it so slick that it's tough to put car cover on it, lol). Then the cost of 4 grand gets spread to like 12-15 years instead of paying 1.5k for ceramics every 3-4 years so it's much more economic too (cca $250 yearly). Plus only PPF gives protection to stones and chips and I can say after 6k miles it really does work perfectly (the front and sides are completely spotless - 215 micron PPF).

I have leftover carnauba waxes from previous car and use it twice a year on my daily car and it's a pretty demanding job with all the hand washing, polishing, waxing. Was doing it that way for a decade but no more for my new cars. PPF and quick spray detailer, done, endless shine :) New daily will get the same treatment.

I like Reload 2.0, but Koch Chemie S0.02 blows it out of the water! You will love it.

I've been using Duragloss Enviroshield ceramic coating for years. Works well, great shine and protection...lasts two years on an everyday outside vehicle. For the garaged toys - even longer. I get 5 or so applications out of a kit. Application is simple. The kit's about $100.

This is a retired 2016 Interceptor. I only buffed the hood to get it clean. The rest is clayed, and the Duragloss system.

Again I thought it would be a good choice. It's ordered and should be here first of next week.. Gonna use it next time. Got a bottle of FSE coming too in case I don't get the car dry in time and have a few water spots. I normally spritz Bead Maker and run my drying towel over the car, I really love Bead Maker. That stuff is sooo slick.

I have some as well and alternate between it and Adam's detail spray every other wash/dry. My only thing about Bead Maker is there's little to no lubricant in it so you definitely still need a wet vehicle when using it.

Definitely. I usually use Bead Maker when I haven't blown dry. If I blow dry I usually don't need to wipe at all. Got a 760 cfm battery blower that makes short work of water. Usually dry with towel and bead maker when the sun is out.

On a budget or prefer DIY, Armor Shield IX works great. I'm at two years since I coated mine and it still beads like it was just coated. My 2011 Taurus is over four years since coating and needs to be redone, but it was good up through three years. And their customer service has been outstanding!
I used the Armor Shield IX on my Mustang when I first took delivery. It was easy to apply and has held up very well. To be fair, my Mustang is garage kept and not my daily driver. Earlier this year Armor Shield came out with their version of a ceramic boost spray. I apply that once in a while to add some shine and slickness. It will be interesting to see how well this product line holds up over the long haul. I'm thinking it should be just fine with the limited exposure my car sees not being used on a daily basis. Overall way easier to maintain than traditional waxes. Very happy with it so far.
