Per dealer right now:

"It looks like the engine is seized. We are going to start tearing it down to see what caused it"

Any tips on how to move forward with this if it is a seized engine? Most likely would be a replacement, correct?

Crap, I was afraid of this based on your description. My guess is a valve issue, like the previous failures. You should get a replacement engine, and possibly the blower as well.

What scares me is how long it took to happen to your engine. I have less miles than you do.

Sorry buddy, keep us posted

No kidding, and it drove like a champ the day before. Followed break in procedure to a T, oil changed at 1k miles (or slightly over).

Wow...the escalated quickly and I hate it for you! Sorry for your loss!

Hopefully Ford will make this right with little hassle.

Please do keep us posted on the findings.

We'll see. They haven't started the tear down yet, but will definitely keep this thread updated.
After the tear down and we get a cause, what steps should I take? Open a case with a rep?

Did they scope the cylinders or pull the valve covers before they decided to tear it down?

Sucks for you dad. Hopefully Ford takes care of yall.
He's beyond upset at all of this, as this was his pride and joy. Fingers crossed it is all fixed soon and quickly

Is this a small town dealer? Can you name the dealer?

It sounds like there shouldn't be anything to worry about since the car was stock; however, you may want to gather any maintenance documentation/receipts/notes that you have concerning the history of the car and how it has been driven thus far just incase they give you any kind of warranty runaround.

Not a fan of Galpin's sales tactics but I suppose they should have a competent service department.
