Well, I do have an old, pretty cheapo one that I'm not keen on connecting to the new car, Tom. One of the problems is, I have to park the car in the middle spot with only the front wall for power and mounting. Impossible to avoid a cable across the floor, (unless I wanted to run it up to the ceiling and over to the car...nah.) So, I need to investigate the situation, rearrange some stuff, so I can have a reasonably sano install.

But I think you can take this to the bank...I'm guessing there are way more folks without battery tenders than with them. Probably not true of forum members but certainly true of the rest of civilization. :-)
Yes, that is of what I speak. Especially those that put their cars away for the winter in hibernation. Even though my cars arent put away, I still use a tender on all of them. I have a Deltran maintainer that was replaced under warranty. They let me keep the old unit (I had to cut the cables). I plan to open it up and have a look and see what the problem was. If I can repair it, I'll send it your way.

I will get her on a tender Real Soon Now, Tom. :-)

That battery cover is pretty pathetic and so are those cross pins. PITA. Replaced with what I think are the standard two-piece pins. MUCH better but that cover and those rubber divets for the cables are certainly not impressive.
Better solution then a battery tender....

Go drive the damn thing once a week!!!!

Even so, Jim, you're right, I should be driving the car and letting the damn system charge the battery. But dude, when she's all clean, I just hate to take her out knowing she's gonna get good and dusty thanks to all the ag down this way.

It IS a better solution though, no doubt about it. But I did order the CTEK stuff. <smiling>
