Oh boy..... Need more description. Was the engine turning over, but not firing?Went to start the car today to move it for some work in the garage. Sounded it like tried to turn over but nothing. Powers on, brake pedal very stiff, light smoke from the exhaust. Drove the car yesterday and no issues. Help!!!
Honestly not sure. Sounds like it tried to turn over once and then stopped. exhaust valves are cycling with the brake depressed. it says "full power accessory mode" so don't think it can be the batteryOh boy..... Need more description. Was the engine turning over, but not firing?
Does it sound like a depleted battery with not enough juice to turn the engine over fast enough?
Is the smoke unburnt fuel, or moisture?
Need more info
I just hooked it up on a trickle charger to see if that will helpDo hope it's the battery, 09 and I suspect that's the most likely. The OEM batts these days are definitely nothing to write home about, at least the ones I've had fit that description.
The "drove it yesterday" though..that's kind of a wrench in the ointment unless the batt was already on its last legs which I think should be unlikely.
Didja attempt to charge it?
OK, just saw your most recent post. No electrical warning icons? I'd be hesitant to jump it before I put the batt on a charger for a few hours.
Do hope it's a simple and inexpensive solution.
What car are we talking about.Tow truck is on the way, how do I get it into neutral if I can't start the car?
