Anybody know when the CFTP cars will start being built again? I assume they suspend building them in the winter due to the Cup tires.

My dealer is placing an order today for a unicorn....by that I mean a CFTP at MSRP! He spoke with his regional rep today and she said to place the order and she is gonna work at it to get it picked up for us. Not sure why Ford doesn't know who is getting the Carbon allocations yet.

Standard sales line to get your deposit money and then sit on it for a year betting on an allocation.
If your dealer got at least 6 GT500’s last year, they might get one CFTP. But if they aren’t that large a dealer, be careful….

They likely sold their base allocations to other dealers.
The normal ratio is about 6 to 1.
The place where I bought mine got 10 base and 2 CFTP. The dealer kept one CFTP for himself and it’s on display in the showroom. I think he got $20K ADM for the other one, and $5K ADM for the base versions.

may be. I Am not sure on their specific numbers. I do know that they've been listing eashc CFTP car at +20-30k ADM. and they wanted +5k for each mach 1, even when I showed a counter at -2% invoice on one. theyve had my car (minus color) for sale for +5k ADM for 6 months now. :/

And two of the base cars got shipped overseas. He wouldn’t tell me where…too bad.

that...would not surprise me. I am honestly glad I did not buy local. even though my family has bought about 30 Fords through the local dealers, that is done. My family will now buy from Granger and Chapman and ship or pick up and road trip just for the experience and detail those dealers provide over the local shitshow that is ********************* and a few others.

Not all dealers are scum bags. This is the same local dealer I ordered my '16 GT350 from the day the order banks opened for them....at MSRP when most dealers were at $5-10K over for base 350 car. This isn't my first rodeo.

I know nothing about your dealer, they might be the greatest people in the world. Just pointing out for the crowd that your statements match the scumbag approach and to be careful out there — Especially dealing long-distance.
The forums are full of stories like this that didn’t end well.
Good luck with yours.

I am Curious why some of you are waiting until the 2022 CFTP are available and not purchasing the 2021? Is it because the 2022 possibly be the last production run?

I like to disassemble things.
2022 is the last production run for the S550 GT500.
