Apparently "this instagram post said" is the new "my dealer said" :cwl: :cwl:
My brother in law is involved in the Vette world of things and he said he’s seeing the same leaks from GM/Chevy affiliated platforms. So either all the internets are wrong or they’re all right 🤣

I would've bought a Corvette instead of a Mustang but I didn't like the cylinder deactivation. On the Camaro? Sure. On the Corvette? No way. My C6 got 30mpg highway with no stupid turning into a 6 cylinder.

Hell my mustang gets 30/31mpg on back roads at 60mph with all 8 firing. My GF civic has half that and 158hp and gets 34mpg. Its doable, just boring AF

Expecting 400K plus OTD.
I was going to guess that it starts at $200k. ERay starts at $106k and Z06 starts at $114k. Will find out in about 10 minutes

If this Vette is around the same price or less than the GTD....LOL Ford.

GM is killing it with the Corvette.

Will probably beat a 500 with a whipple and deadlocks on 93 lol.

Only if the GTD loses on track, at least IMO. Still kinda apples and oranges. Limited production, application-only race car that is technically street legal (GTD) vs a build as many as they can street car built for the track (ZR1). There is a difference there.

But the ZR1 numbers are impressive and it looks really good. Exposed CF wheel option too. I’m just glad at least these two American companies are still going at it with high HP V8’s. Even if they’re unobtanium for a lot of folks

I personally don't care about limited numbers. I want the most performance for the money. The GTD doesn't even look like a super car. It looks like a Mustang with a body kit....for $300K.

I get it. We all have our boxes we want checked. Exclusivity isn’t really high on my list either, I just think it goes hand in hand with the type of car the GTD is. That’s really the only reason I pointed that part out.

Both appear to be phenomenal cars. I would expect, given GTD is a purpose built race car for all intents and purposes, that GTD outperforms ZR1 on track. But if its close, you’re probably right in that it’s a win for Corvette (assuming it’s equally priced or lower).

Not a hybrid either. This thing is going to destroy all comers.

Good question. They talk about aero in the site and the CF wheels so I would assume so.
