Truth is there is definitely slightly more torque in higher gears than the x pipe that I noticed straight away. Is that the back pressure causing better torque?.
Backpressure doesn't make torque

You can't feel the difference in a X pipe driving the car (it's only a couple hp if anything, and the X should make more)

The car being quieter now makes it feel faster than when it was loud (you subconsciously don't think you're hitting the gas as hard)

I would bet the car makes less power with the Borla resonator on it

Here I am putting all my stock exhaust back on wishing for anything as close to as quiet as stock. As soon as I threw catless lth on the volume on every exhaust mod I did doubled. Factory Mufflers Factory resonator back in and my wife still thinks I have an aftermarket exhaust.

Honestly
The nice thing about it being quiet is you tend hold gears longer. Like staying in 2nd and 3rd longer in town for example. When it’s loud and you stay in one gear it can get a little obnoxious.

Anyways…..
I spoke to an exhaust guy and he said worst case is he can open it up like a can of beans 🤣, and take out some of the packing but I don’t know if it could ruin the resonator….

on another note my car ( Bullitt ) 2020 now has 46000 miles, did the service and oil change and guess what ???, yep the typewriter tick has finally come to haunt me.
just ordered some ceratec to try and stop it.
it’s a weird tick as it’s not affected by rpm or does have any rhythmic noise with the engine. It just well ticks when it wants to.

All depends on how small the waist section of the X-pipe measure.
Keep in mind exhaust gas and particles tumble and roll through the exhaust tubing and there’s alway the boundary layer friction to overcome.
The H vs. X crossover has no real effect on high reving Coyote power output. The H vs. X crossover is more about desired exhaust tone.

Anyone know why Borla states this resonator for their system only and not for use on OEM?
It fits in place of the x pipe in their full system, so stock connection at front, slip fits in the rear. Would need to have a muffler shop make the rear connection For the stock exhaust.

The other end of the pipe is 3inch and stock is 2.5
