definitely worn valve guide seals. I have the same issue. It isn't causing any other problems aside from eating a good amount of oil. Just change your oil every 3000 miles

Well if you are eating it through the guides, its getting fresh oil a lot. :D

None of the plugs really look too terrible. Blue smoke on startup and after sitting is usually valve guides, just because the oil drips through the seal and either sits on the valve surface or drips into the combustion chamber. Technically you can replace the guides without removing the heads if you fill the cylinder with compressed air and get the right tools.

Yeah those plugs are as soon as we noticed the smoke, might be pulling them this upcoming week to check them out now. But none the less, I’m thinking it’s the valve guides.

Ok your on the wrong track. Blue smoke is fuel white/grey smoke is oil. This is not a oil problem if the smoke really is blue. Those plugs look fine no signs of burning oil
Start looking at injectors, tune

Where did you hear that? Grey/Black smoke is fuel typically. There's no absolutes with oil smoke, because often it depends on the situations in which it's burning, which oil, etc. But blue and white are possible colors. But I've never heard of excess fuel smoke being blue.

No you’re right I got turned around. There’s no sign of oil burning on the plugs. So if this is a cold start problem all there is valve guides or fuel. If a leak down test is good look at the smoke close because it is possible that fuel is the problem

Hold a piece of white computer paper behind the exhaust and examine the residue. Also the throttle body is reasonable easy to move aside and swab the floor of the intake for oil.

Again, it’s for sure blue smoke. I’m not mistaking it for vapor from colder weather. There’s an obvious difference when looking at it. The vapor typically disappears quickly while the blue smoke lingers and has a “whisky” look to it

If you guys want I can make a video of it tomorrow morning. Demonstrating what I see that way you guys can see the color of the smoke.

Any new update with this?
Sort of at a standstill, still smoking on startup. Been really busy with work so I haven’t had time to really dig in and do what I want yet. I’ll have some free time later tonight where I’ll try getting a video of it.

If you have a long hill somewhere go down the hill in gear but don’t touch the gas pedal. When you get to the bottom smash the gas and look for smoke. If you don’t have a hill get up to 100 and let it come all the way down to 20 in gear and hit the gas. If it’s manual you will need to keep down shifting

A little bit of blue smoke (oil burning) at startup is not an issue as long as it goes away shortly.

If you had bad valve guides or something like that, the blue smoke would be all the time.
